Just my luck. I would walk into Christian, yet again. I really need to start paying attention to where I'm going, seeing as this time, I got covered in food.

"We need to stop meeting like this," he says with a smirk, "Someone is going to get hurt."

That someone would most likely be me since he's about 5'11 and he could easily crush me. I mean, I'm already covered in his lunch from head to toe. What am I going to do?! It's my first day, I still have more classes to go to, and my clothes are ruined. Guess it's a good thing my favorite shirt, which I had originally wanted to wear today, was dirty. The noodles will easily come off but, I don't think I can say the same for the sauce.

"Great, now I'm going to look gross for the rest of the day." I say grumpily.

"I think it's an improvement to be honest. The sauce brings out your eyes." He says with a smirk.

I narrow my eyes at him, getting ready to yell at him, when the bell goes off. Lunch is over already? How? Great.

I run off into the bathroom, leaving Christian behind. I need to get this food off. The only thing I can do is take off the blue short sleeved shirt I had over my black tank top and wear my tank top under my jean jacket. It's a good thing I grabbed it at the last second. At least I don't have to go through the rest of the day with sauce on me. Good thing there wasn't a lot on my jeans.

Satisfied with how I look, I run off into the direction of what Ally told me was the gym. She doesn't have this class with me but, she said she would meet after to walk to fifth period.

I walk into the gym expecting to get in trouble for being late but Mr. Mellison just says, "Christian told me what happened. I see you got changed out of the saucy shirt. Since it's your first day, you can sit out."

I pause, surprised that Christian had told him I was changing because of what happened. I then walk toward the bleachers to sit down and look at the others in the gym.

I see Christian, John, and Danny in the corner, staring at me. Quickly, I look away and hide behind my hair, feeling my cheeks heat up. I probably looked like a tomato.

After a minute of looking at the ground, I hear someone quietly say, "Hey." I look up, surprised to see John standing in front of me.

"Uhm. H-Hi." Why was he over here? Shouldn't he be with Christian and Danny? I look over at them to see that they're already looking at me. Christian's mouth is hanging open as if he is shocked while Danny just has a sad look on his face. I give Danny a confused look and he just shakes his head and walks away.

"How do you like Masonary High so far?" He asks timidly. I didn't think that John would be the shy type.

"I-It's f-fine. Th-Thank you," I couldn't help but ask at this point, "W-Why are you t-talking to m-me?"

He sighs as he says, "I honestly don't know."

Well that's one way to make me feel good about myself. "Oh. Well, y-you should g-get back to D-Danny and Christian."

He looks shocked that I know Danny's name as he asks, "How do you know Danny?"

It's not like I can tell him the real reason. "I met h-him in the h-hall bef-fore lu-lunch."

He seems to think for a moment before saying quietly, "You know... Your stutter is really cute, I like it."

He has moved a little closer and he's still moving closer and closer until... "JOHN!" Christian calls him.

John looks kind of upset that he was being called away. Which didn't make sense to me since we were just talking.

"I guess I'll see you around," he says.

"B-Bye." Well that was confusing.

Luckily the rest of the school day passed by without incident. I was in between Christian and Ally for the rest of my classes. But that's fine, I guess. At least I'm not alone.

As I get in aunt Nikki's car, she asks, "Why are those boys staring at you?"

I turn around and sure enough the boys are staring at me. I wave and get in the car.

"Th-They kind of are my f-friends?" It sounds more like a question.

"Two things. One, why are you stuttering? You never do that around me. Two, why did that sound more like a question?"

"I don't know why I stuttered. It sounded like a question because I don't know what they really are to me."

We are pulling into the driveway now. "I see, you should go relax before dinner. I'm sure you've had a long day."

I didn't need to be told twice as I ran into the house and up to my bedroom. It's been a long day and I have a feeling that this is just the beginning.
