Mariam walked across the pavement, kicking boulders across the road with her bulk feet. The rain made her look even more hideous than she already was.
"Heart been broke so many times, I- I- I, don't no what to believe..."
She sang these words with passion, until her eyes caught Izzy. She was peering round the corner: eyes bulging.
"Izzy!" She bellowed, her voice thundering across the courtyard. Izzy turned around, her face condensing into an angry expression.
"Hello... Baldegg," she said, shattering Maz's heart.
"H-huh?" Baldegg said, her stutter showing.
"It's over," Izzy said. She had no emotion in her face, all she had was a smirk.
"Nani..?" Maz whispered, but it was too late. Izzy had already gotten into her Jeep and driven off into the night.
Baldegg collapsed, her knees snapping beneath her.
"AHR!" She screamed, feeling the intense pain shoot through her legs, "Call an ambulance!"
