It was not long before they stumbled to a dead end. It wasn't a normal dead end though, someone was there. She told them her name was Maizy.
"Hey! I'm Maizy!" She exclaimed, before wrapping her hand around Max. Amelie stared at Maizy in shock, it was her old friend from primary. And she was touching Max. She broke Max from Maizy's grip and smiled.
"Hey Maizy, how're you?"
Maizy groaned and stepped towards Amelie.
"Why'd you make me let go of Max? Huh? Do you like him?" She teased, and Amelie's face went completely red.
Amelie pushed Maizy away, and turned. She walked away with Ayla and Max following.
"What was that about?" Max asked, and Amelie didn't reply, she just carried on striding through the maze.
"Hey, can we take a break?" Ayla asked, and she slumped on the floor.
She almost instantly fell asleep.
"Haha. She must have been really tired after tricking you so bad."
"Hey! You were tricked too, don't even." Max said back, before laughing, "I can't believe all that has happened to us. But still, I'm glad I met you."
Amelie blushed, before whispering the words, I love you.
