~time skip to the winter vacations because i honestly forgot this was a Wolfstar story and not a gay Marauders story :)~

Remus's POV

Dear Remus,

Your father and I got a letter the other day from one of your friends— James, I believe— saying you were dating someone... how dare you not tell your father and I about this?! This is outrageous! I cannot believe we had to hear this from James! We ar- Hope, dear. Just tell him what you want to already. Yes, right. Back on track. We want you to bring him- sorry, them, to the house over the Yule vacations. We would very much like to get acquainted with our son's boyf- with the person our son is dating. Sorry about that, I'm using a self-writing quill. Anyways, you don't have to, of course, but it would be nice to meet them! Write back your response soon!

That was the letter I had gotten the previous day. It was a bit of an understatement to say I was worried, but I also wasn't. Sirius obviously wasn't going to go back to Grimmauld Place for anything unnecessary, but James might already have plans with him, too. It also couldn't hurt to ask, right? But then again, I don't really want to take him home. Might not be the best idea, but it could also help make things even more official.. I guess I'll just ask.

"Moony- *gasp* Prongs said that *gasp* that your parents we're gon- *gasp* gonna ask me over for *gasp* dinner." What was up with that?
"Why are you so out of breath?"
"I ran up here from the dungeons."
"Right... well, yeah. They want to meet you over Yule, but I haven't responded yet. I wanted to get your opinion."
"Well, of course I want to go! I'll get to meet beautiful boyfriend's parents."
"...you really think I'm beautiful?"
"Course I do, Moons. Now go write them, telling them we're going over during break. We do have to leave for Boxing Day, though. I told James we would."

Dear Mum,

I talked to Sirius (yes, you were right. It's a guy.) and he said he'd like to meet you two. Sadly, would have to leave for Boxing Day as we had pre-made arrangements with James.

I don't know why I wrote that more formal than I would, but it's been happening lately. Usually I'd right something like "Yeah we're going. See you," but I always end up writing as if it's an important and posh document.
