Chapter 10: Pain and Freedom

5 weeks later after Daven was arrested:

Thing's...were not good.

G.U.N sentenced him for life imprisonment for a crime he didn't commit. Then they took him away from his friends...wait his friends? Oh the people who actually didn't believe him. What great friends they are.

Now here he was...all alone for life. His cell was small. It didn't help the fact that he was claustrophobic. But he didn't care. At night he was having a mental crying breakdown and panic attacks which he took care of himself.

At least 3 times a week G.U.N workers would at least experiment on him and also study him to try and figure out the scource of his dark power. It was unlike anything they've ever seen. But they couldn't exactly pinpoint the source which scared them. So they could only think of one thing to do.

Later one night: Daven POV

I woke up to find myself strapped to a chair in a large room. There was a cage around the chair. I also heard the sound of electricity sparks. There was a tinted window and just barely in the reflection I could see something on my head. Something to send electricity shocks to me. Then the Doctor walked in.

"My name is Doctor Trager. I am here to help."

I couldn't help but chuckle a bit

"Of course you are Doc. Where were you 3 weeks ago? When they were sticking needles in me, zapping me?! T-AARGGH!" I felt the zap of electricity as I was being too aggressive and hostile.

"Nice try. You know the rules. If you are too hostile you will be punished. I am here to simply understand what your power is and I will get those answers by doing this." He simply pushed this small trigger button which caused me to feel another electric shock causing excruciating pain.

I breathed heavily catching my breath back as I watched him take out his notepad and pen. "You're wasting your time...cause I don't know much about myself. I don't know nothing."

"Wrong answer." The bastard shocked me again as I felt the pain and also my dark side taking control.

"You wanna know how powerful I am?!"
"Yeah!"
"Well so do i!"

This was entertaining the doctor as he was excited to see the dark power reveal itself but the trigger wasn't working as he nervously looked at me.

"I'm dying...to know...Doc! But you better make sure you kill me this time! Because if you dont! I'm gonna kill you! And then I'll make sure everyone of GUN dies slowly and painfully! So Daven can live in a world without pain, a world without fear...a world...without GUN." The room was slowly filling with purple pure electricity before the Doctor was able to send a shock to me again but it went directly to my brain knocking me out.

A voice in the intercom demanded I be put back in my cell so guards stormed in armed incase I was faking it and dragged me back to my cell.

Sometime later, Team Dark arrived for info of a new mission:

They got a call from the commander and they dropped a shocking revelation. Daven was innocent. He never murdered anyone. Whoever it was in the footage was Purple furred and wasn't a dark form. Also CCTV footage shows that Daven was with Rouge The Bat shopping at the time the attack on the base happened so it wasn't him.

Ember was the first to speak after that.

"What are you waiting for?! Get him out of the prison of yours!"

"Sorry to tell you this Agent Ember but Daven is a threat to everyone so we have to keep him here."

"Uhh no not happening! He's only a threat because you made him one! I'm coming over tommorow and I'm taking him back here!" She hung up growling and frustrated. She always knew it wasn't him but no one listened and they had the balls to tell her that I wasn't allowed my freedom.

The next morning

I sat in the corner facing the wall...in silent. Hadn't ate, slept or anything. Not even a word came out of me for a long time. But I heard the cell doors open.

"Daven The Hedgehog. You are being freed after we had confirmation that you were with Agent Rouge the exact time of the attack. We checked CCTV footage and it was correct. You are free to go and no longer in any investigation."

That was it. No apologies for all the pain they put me through nothing...nothing.

Exactly what I have now...nothing. I don't trust anyone.

Outside The Base

Ember, Rouge, Shadow and Omega were waiting for me by the entrance. I saw them as I walked out holding my jacket and glasses and kept walking. They had their car with them to drive me back to their base but I walked past them onto the road ignoring them.

"Daven?...Daven wait!" I heard Ember beg as she ran up to me but I didn't care. I felt her hand on my shoulder forcing me to stop.

"C'mon Daven. It's over now...you're free. Come back with us please..."

I stood still. Still feeling her hand on my shoulder I just threw her hand away as I continued walking along this empty long road.

I heard a groan from the Edgelord.

"Right enough of this stupid shit! Daven get your act together come with u-" he didn't get to finish his sentence cause the darkness in me had my hand around his throat tight as he fell on his knees and was forced to look up into my lifeless eyes.

"You come near us again I'll make sure you feel every single cut we were forced to feel because of your ignorance...we don't need you or anyone!" Then that was that. I felt him let Shadow go.

I just walked down the road ignoring them...leaving them like they left me.

Somewhere else

Infinite's POV:

Yes. The plan was coming together. Daven no longer trusts Team Dark and he's all alone. Excellent. Master would be most pleasant to hear.

He walked towards the glowing purple Chaos Emerald and kneels down in front communicating with his master as his hologram appeared.

"Yes?"

"My lord, the plan is so far working. Daven is all alone. He doesn't trust anyone not even Team Dark. I think it's time I bring him here."

"Not entirely. I sense a presence...in his young mind. There is someone he trusts somewhere in the city." The master took off his hood.

It was a colourless hedgehog with no mouth but the most noticable feature was his green evil emotionless eyes. "He will soon come to us and when he does I shall finally be able to use his body as a vessel to come to the mortal realm...then I shall take what's mine. Earth then...the whole universe shall be mine!"

"Yes...my lord of Darkness. But...I must ask...if I bring the boy to you...what about the brother?"

"Keep him alive. He will still make a great weapon. His performance attacking the G.U.N base was enough for me to admit you were right. Do what I ask of you and you can have your prize...your next target...a Dragon!"

Infinite's eyes widened in shock.

"A Dragon?!...my lord...thank you!"

"Now go...find Daven...and destroy anyone who gets in the way. Do not disappoint me...just like Eggman did."

Infinite watched as the holographic image of his master vanished ending the message as he couldn't help himself letting out an evil smirk.
