Chapter 5: White Hoodie

"M-Mikasa..." Eren's voice was trembling in anger as he held up his tears.

As I thought I was at my final moments, I began to open my eyes.

The smoke subsided and visibility was much better now. My body froze on the spot and my legs began to wobble like jelly while dropping my rifle.

"M-Mikasa you..." All I could see was her taking the attack for me. Blood began to spout out from her chest as she fell to the ground. And then I saw who stabbed her, a woman wearing a white hoodie, her head covered by the hoodie cover. She was also wearing a mask similar to that of Reiner and the Bertholdt guy, but they had different tattoos on the masks.

Glancing at Mikasa afterwards, the blood was uncontrollably spilling out from the wound and her eyes were beginning to shut. I couldn't believe what I saw.

She sacrificed her life for me...

Eren dropped the unconscious Levi's body, dashed forward and hollered: "MIKASA! JUST HANG IN THERE!"

Tears were beginning to lash down from his eyes as he kept screaming and yelling in agony.

"MIKASA PLEASE! I CAN'T LOSE YOU JUST YET! REMEMBER WE'RE GONNA GET MARRIED SOON RIGHT? PLEASE HANG IN THERE I BEG YOU!"

Mikasa's face looked emotionless and pale, as red evident aristocratic blood was advancing from her body spreading around the floor.

I looked up again and saw the masked woman standing rooted to the ground not making any move. As such, I began to land a blow on her face but she swung her legs and blocked it. The impact made me stumble a bit before she ran off the door and made her way to the exit door.

"Come back you- " I paused as I was about to lose it on her, but Mikasa's body made me reflect on my impending failure as a captain.

"A-Armin..."

"Y-yeah?" I was trying to hold back my tears.

A captain can't show his emotions.

"Avenge Mikasa, will you?"

I glanced up to Eren who was clenching his fists, wrapping the wounded body to himself. This is a chance for me to at least prove my worth to everyone.

"S-she's almost d-dead, promise me to kill that motherfucker?"

I should have just shot at Reiner in the first place! I underestimated them...

"ARMIN!"

"Yeah, I promise." I nodded my head and began the chase.

Sprinting out of the inner building, the gun shooting was still present and Jean put me on halt: "Armin, where's the- ?"

"No time to talk, I need to catch someone."

Outside of the building, the corpse of the terrorists was lying flat on the floor and I began to hear the sound of a motorcycle. Turning right, the masked woman with the hoodie began to speed away from the hideout.

Thankfully, luck was on my side as there was another motorbike beside and I began to chase after the one who killed Mikasa.

I'm gonna kill you so bad, you fucking asshole!

The road was curvy and narrow and the masked woman was quite an expert in driving. Even as the captain of PSDU, I almost stumbled into many vehicles coming in the way of my motorbike.

"FUCK SAKE!" I yelled at myself after almost crashing into a red Lamborghini who was at high speed. Alas, I regained my composure and continued to track her from behind.
