Chapter 14: Infiltration

This could be the biggest mission Paradis as PSDU, Paradis Air Force (PAF) and Kranese Police Force (KPF) are all bringing forward their men and destroying the rest of Muskan's forces who are hiding in Kranese after their previous one was destroyed in Orvud.

Since the hideout was underground, Hange's plan was for PSDU to act first and eliminate their underground base and force them to retreat upwards. Several of the air force will attack their military base above the hideout itself and the rest will attack the members who go up from below.

The rationale behind calling the PAF was to provide more military might since the previous raid on Orvud was unsuccessful. Additionally, Reiner's threat gave us major warning signs and the need for Muskan to be eliminated instantly.

Of course, there are limitations, as the hideout in Krasene is their main base, and they can launch artillery strikers on the pilots which cause huge losses of lives.

Colonel Darius Zackly from the PAF was initially sceptical and felt it was unnecessary to bring out their troops to fight, as he felt the Orvud situation was not that far of failure, since the majority of Muskan's intelligence and recon team were wiped out.

However, Hange reiterated that Reiner and the leader Kruger is still on the run, and she wants guaranteed success from the allied forces this time around.

Thankfully in days, time Colonel Zackly agreed to the deal as he wants to put an end to Muskan's tyranny.

"Commissioner Hange, the captain Armin Arlert has failed 2 times and I'm quite worried if this plan goes to fail again. My men's lives are extremely precious."

"You'll have my word Colonel Zackly. He will not fail. I'll take full responsibility..."

"Actions are louder than words. I do not want my men to risk their lives for nothing!"

"This mission will be a success, trust me. It'll work for sure, I bet on you."

"I have to admit but I don't trust the PPF and PSDU, but for the sake of Paradis, we'll join forces. But if my men were to sacrifice meaninglessly, I'll slander every one of you in the media and your shitty reputation will continue to spread. Surely you don't want the PPF to change its entire constitution and become a mess, right?"

Colonel Zackly is crazily mean and demanding but I could understand his doubtfulness. Anyways it isn't for me to complain about it since I'm the one who created this mess.

Once we've destroyed the inner base, we'll give the signal to the colonel and 15 minutes from the airstrike we will depart from there.

The KPF will cover the exterior parts and the potential places they can escape from underground, to prevent the remaining Muskan members from escaping.

And now, is time for our interior plan for our underground raid.

Connie and Jean will stay at the outer side of the building to give a passageway and protection for Levi and me to enter into the room Annie is in. Hange and her intelligence team will guide us the route through earbuds, and either Connie or Jean or both will be called if things escalate (which is very likely).

She assumed that the route Annie took will be the ones without all the booby traps that were set up. Hence it'll be the safest route for us but we still have to look out for our surroundings.

Once we arrived at the place where the majority of them are, Levi will stay behind me, I'll crack open the entrance and throw the explosives on them. If they reiterate, we will also start to fire. The downside is, the explosive blast radius is comparably small to the ones we used to have, as our safety has to be ensured too.
