~ 3 YEARS LATER ~

"Alright, you'll get your glasses in about 3 to 5 days, I'll notify you through WhatsApp."

"Thank you!"

"Thanks for purchasing!" I waved to my last customer before closing down the shop for the day.

The business was average as usual, not as crowded as expected but at least I've managed to earn more revenue compared to the previous months.

3 years ago after our triumph, Queen Historia managed to strengthen border protection around Paradis to prevent any further threats from entering into our border illegally. With that, there have been extremely minimal terrorism acts in the nation, maybe a few Marley nationalists in Paradis but all have been managed quite easily.

It was swift and rational thinking from the Queen, knowing that once internal conflicts have been resolved, there will be a need for avoidance of another round of unnecessary attacks.

After promising to leave, I handed my reigns to Jean as I saw him with a capable voice to lead. A new member by the name of Falco Grice has also joined the unit,  but I've yet to see him.

My Mom managed to recover from traumatism thanks to the specialists and counsellors help. It was a tough period for us but after my departure, my priority was to focus on her health.

However, I've never heard of Annie nor seen her after all these years, which made me worried that she might give up on the plane.

If she did, it can't be blamed. Losing both parents at a young age and finding out that it was due to a terrorist attack is hard to take in.

Till now, I hoped that she did take my words and advice into consideration.

As my occupation as a police officer came to a halt, I decided to learn more about optics as I found an interest in it.

Took me a few months after learning before I managed to find a suitable supplier and location near the main city district of Paradis.

And here we are, I'm currently the owner of a spectacle shop - ARLERT'S GLASSES.

It was tough at first, as I didn't have enough budget to move forward. Luckily, business was doing fine and with a high popularity rate in my shop, I was able to keep my shop as long as now.

A very relaxing and well-earned occupation, something I had desired.

Levi texted me today that they'll be having night training, and asked if I was free to pop by.

I had my answer stuck to my head like glue.

The nostalgic feeling puffed at me and the campus was the same as usual. Nothing has changed.

The same buildings, same uniforms, Hange-san is still the commissioner.

Maybe it kinda needs a little upgrade eh? The infrastructure does look quite worn out.

"COME ON, 60 PUSH-UPS. LET'S GO!"

It was Jean's voice coming from below, and there they were at the field doing late-night physical training.

"Gimme a break, Jean!"

"Shut up, Connie. You've put on pounds. Must be eating all the junk food with Sasha during your honeymoon."

Ah yes, they've settled down.

"HEY ARMIN! YOU CAME!" Connie waved at me and the other 3 members were calling me down.

"Sup fellas, it's been long."

"Right." Levi gave me a slight hit on the chest: "I guess you're doing fine at your shop."
