Roommates

Movie night

Mark had gotten a lot of snacks and a few movies, one of them being a horror film. He was gonna let Ethan choose which one they watched first because he wanted to make sure Ethan enjoyed the night. He paid for it all and got back in the car. "So Ethan how would you feel about a movie night?" Mark asked causally. Ethan smiled "That sounds fun actually! What movies are we watching?"
Mark chuckled softly "Well I bought a few plus I have Netflix so really anything you want Eth" Ethan blushed slightly at that nickname.
"Yeah sounds like fun thanks Mark!" He gave him a bright smile as mark now drove the two of them home. Ethan looked out the window thinking to himself mostly. -god why is he so nice to me? He bought me a lot today and now he's having a movie night with me? How did I mange to get so lucky..- He was snapped out of his thoughts by Mark saying "Ethan we're home, you gonna get out?" Ethan hurriedly got up out "Yeah sorry I guess I just spaced out, sorry Mark"

Mark just shook his head with a smile "No need to be sorry Ethan it happens"
He walked inside with Ethan, that bag in hand. "Okay Ethan go ahead and get the snacks ready" he gave him the snacks "I'll get the movies set up and make the couch more comfortable.

Ethan watched Mark walk away now. He grabbed the snacks and put them in bowls and stuff. He thought about Mark, about how kind he was to him. They hadn't even known each other a week and already mark was one of the kindest people he had met. He wasn't sure if it would change when he came out so he kept quiet. That was until Mark walked over "Space out again Ethan?" He asked with a small chuckle. He loved his laugh. He loved everything about him honestly. "Yeah sorry but the snacks are ready" he brought them to the coffee table in front of the couch. Mark had gotten a few blankets and pillows on the couch "Okay what movie first Ethan?" He looked at the options. "How about the scary one?" He asked. He hated scary movies but it would give him an excuse to get closer to Mark.

Mark nodded "Okay but if you get too scared I'm right next to you" Ethan nodded "It'll be fine I won't get scared!" He said with fake confidence. He was gonna get scared. He sat beside him and  smiled once Mark had put on the movie. It started and he seemed fine but he hesitantly got closer to Mark when it got tense.

Ethan whimpered slightly and got closer to Mark, he heard Mark's quiet laugh and it calmed him slightly before he felt Mark wrap an arm around him. He blushed, thank god it was dark so mark wouldn't notice

Mark saw him go towards him and heard him whimper so he laughed quietly and put an arm around him, looking down to make sure he was alright he could've sworn Ethan was blushing but surely it was just the lighting from the movie. He shook it off and kept watching the movie with him. He ate some chips and offered Ethan some which in return Ethan happily took.

By the end of the movie Ethan was basically clinging to Mark. Mark chuckled "Okay maybe we should lay off on the horror movies." Ethan shook his head "No can we watch just one more?" He asked queitly in which Mark laughed "Are you sure you want to do that Ethan?"

"Yeah! I can handle it this one was just uh...a lot more than I thought.." Mark shrugged as Ethan moved away from him "Okay if you say so we can watch another one"

Ethan smiled to himself and sighed thinking to himself -God why do I do this to myself..it's pathetic. All just so I can be close to him..- he lightly cuddled up to him which Mark didn't seem to mind at all.

Mark got slightly worried as Ethan seemed lost in his thoughts until he cuddled up to him. Mark smiled and kept him close as he watched the movie. Soon Ethan went still and silent. He had fallen asleep. Mark chuckled and turned the movie off. He slowly got up and put away the snacks before picking Ethan up and bringing him to bed. He was about to leave Ethan's room when Ethan slowly sat up, still half asleep he mumbled "No stay please"

Mark sighed, he knew Ethan wouldn't remember asking but nodded "Okay blueberry" he walked over and got in bed next to him. He felt Ethan cling to him and he smiled, wrapping his arms around him. He lightly kissed his cheek "Night blueberry"

All Mark heard before he fell asleep was Ethan say "Night strawberry" He had been awake the whole time. Yeah he had to admit it wasn't the best plan but he just didn't want to sleep alone. So he pretended to fall asleep on him and things just went from there. He was blushing a lot as he didn't expect Mark to kiss his cheek. Did Mark like him back? Was it just a friendly kiss?? (Gotta kiss your homies goodnight ya know) he sighed and shook his head. Ethan cuddled close to him and slowly let himself drift off to sleep

Hey guys I'm not dead! I know I said I would upload weekly but things have been crazy and writing is hard so it took me a while but I will try to stay on some sort of a schedule anyway. Have a good day/night
