Roommates

The day at the mall part 2!

After Ethan and Mark finished at the candy shop Ethan saw an arcade he really wanted to go to so of course Mark took him to the arcade. "Have fun Ethan I'll be over here by the prizes and stuff if you need anything" Mark said with a soft smile on his face. He liked seeing him so happy.
He watched Ethan walk away and start playing games. He looked at the prize counter and saw some fidget toys like a fidget cube. He had noticed Ethan tended to mess with things so he asked how much for the cube, they said around five dollars. A bit expensive but what did you expect from a mall arcade. He paid for it and put it in his pocket to give to Ethan later. He started to play a few games of Pac-Man just to pass the time "Oh come on I forgot how hard this can be.." he growled

Ethan overheard Mark getting mad over Pac-Man, he couldn't help but laugh a little as he walked over "Having some trouble there Mark?"
Mark just kind of gave him a side glare "No." He mumbled right before dying again "This game is just dumb" he heard Ethan laugh,god that laugh made his heart flutter. He smiled a little "It's no big deal it's just a game anyway"
Ethan smiled a little "Alright well I'm gonna go play a few more games if you don't mind" Mark rolled his eyes "I'm not your babysitter do what you want Ethan" he said as he watched Ethan walk away.

Ethan walked away to play a few more games after seeing mark was calmer. He was having a lot of fun already even though realistically it had only been around an hour or so they had been there so far. He looked over at the prize counter seeing those ugly monster things that are so ugly they're kind of cute. It was a lot of points though, that's why he didn't like arcades because the good things were always impossible to get if you just went once and he never had the patience to save up that many so he usually just admired them.

Mark noticed he was staring at a big green monster plushie up top. He waited until he wasn't looking anymore to buy it for him. He walked over "Hey cmon let's go somewhere else and get some actual food, also here I saw you looking at this" he gave Ethan the plushie

He gasped and hugged him "Maaark you didn't have to get that for me! Thank you!" He smiled and took the plushie happily before heading to the food court. The two of them ordered food then sat down at one of the tables and waited for someone to bring their food. "It means a lot to me that you've done all of this, you didn't have to you know"
Mark played it off like nothing "No worries it's the least I could do to make you feel welcome" he said

Ethan smiled and messed with a napkin "Still, thank you. No one has ever really done this for me so it is special"
Mark just smiled "Well the day isn't over just yet so be prepared for more, like this" he gave him the fidget cube "I noticed you like to mess with things so I thought I might as well get you one you know?"

He looked at Mark, those soft milk chocolate brown eyes melted his heart. "Th-Thanks Mark" he said, their food got there right on time and they both ate happily, talking about small things mostly mark asking Ethan more about him. After a good ten or so minutes of eating and talking they got up "I think I'm ready to head back home" Ethan said as he stretched a bit
"Alright well I hope you don't mind if we stop by one more place before we go home" Ethan shook his head "No, not at all"

The two of them left the mall and got into Mark's car. "I still want to get a few more things so I'm going to stop by a dollar store really quick then we can go home okay?" Mark said. "Alright sounds good to me. " Ethan gave him a thumbs up which Mark rolled his eyes to and started driving. Once he got there he went in and got some of Ethan's favorite foods, drinks, chips, things like that and some movies he liked. "Maybe a movie night will be fun" he said to himself
