Rory POV:

I woke up, got ready for school, ate a quick breakfast at Lukes with mom like we always do, and Lane asked me to pick up some CDs from the music store near Chilton. I got on the bus to school and decided to read one of my biographies on the way there. The day was long, I am tired so it's a good thing that I'm sitting at the end of my last class. Physics.

"Your project is due on Monday which gives you the weekend to complete it. Your project is to create your own electrical circuit to make the light bulb, that I will give each of you, light up. You also have to write a detailed analysis of your work. You will be in pairs so, first and third row, look behind you and that's your partner." Mrs. Wilson tells us and I look behind me to see Giselle.

I'm happy that I got paired with giselle because we have become good friends in school. We've sat together at lunch ever since the whole Puff fiasco two weeks ago and I've gotten to know her better. She's half Egyptian and half Canadian. She moved here at the beginning of summer with her mom after her parents got a divorce. Her dream college is Yale. She wants to be an architect one day and travel around the world designing different buildings and structures. The two of us are actually really similar come to think of it.

"Howdy partner." she tells me and tips her imaginary cap at me. The bell rings and everyone starts packing up their things.

"You're dismissed," Mrs. Wilson tells us and I take my backpack and wait for Giselle outside the classroom to discuss our project.

"Okay, project time, when are you free, because I'm free now?" she asks me.

"It's Friday, I've got dinner with my grandparents, what about tomorrow?" I ask her.

"Tomorrow's fine, your house?" she asks and I nod.

Giselle POV:

The next day I set my alarm for 8:00 am then go downstairs to the kitchen. I decide to make a nice breakfast and eat it in front of the tv in my pyjamas just to get me into a good mood before I have to leave for Rory's. I put on some dark blue jeans and a maroon sweater after breakfast then add just a small amount of makeup to make me look more awake. I grab a map to find the way to Stars Hollow because I've never been there before. Rory told me to take a left at the big rooster statue and I thought she was kidding until I passed a big rooster statue. After a twenty-minute drive, I finally arrive at her house or at least I hope that their mailbox is the only one with "Gilmore" written on it. I walk up to their door and knock.

"Hi." Rory's mom says to me with a smile when she opens the door.

"Hey." I say and return the smile.

"You're here to work on the project with Rory." she assumes, and I nod.

"Yeah, I'm Giselle. It's nice to meet you." I tell her and she opens the door wider.

"Come on in." She invites me in and I come inside. "Rory!" her mother yells for her and Rory comes outside a room through the kitchen.

"Oh, hey. Giselle, this is my mom."

"Lorelai." Lorelai introduces herself.

"I thought Rory was Lorelai." I say.

"We both are. Long story." Rory clarifies and we walk further into the house and sit on the couch in the living room. I really like their house, it's the perfect size for them and it's very charming.

"Ok, well you two crazy kids should have everything you need." Lorelai begins.

"Yup." Rory assures her.

"Then when you're done we can go to Lukes and eat Lunch or dinner depending on the time unless Giselle needs to go home then in that case Rory and I will just...uh... so yeah, I'm gonna leave you to it. Holler if you need anything." Lorelai tells us and it's a miracle i got all of that because she speaks really fast. I like her though.
