Rory POV:

Today is the Bracebridge dinner. Mom went crazy planning it and no one has come yet but that's fine because it's only 7:00 pm. We all got ready around 5:00 and I lent Giselle my purple dress because she didn't pack anything for the dinner and this whole thing is old English-themed.

"How is Sookie doing?" I ask mom when I see her at the front desk.

"Well, she's paper bagging it," she tells me.

"What?" I ask.

"You know--," she says then puts her hand to her mouth and starts gasping.

"Oh, so she's right on schedule," I say.

"Hey, dolls." I hear Babettes deep, unmistakable voice at the front door of the inn and we walk over to welcome them in.

"Hey." Mom greets them.

"Hi, welcome," I say to Babette and Morey.

"Are we the first ones here?" Morey asks us.

"Yes, you are." Mom answers him.

"Now, don't you freak out," Babbette tells Morey then turns back to us. "Morey hates being the first anywhere. He thinks it hurts his street credibility," she tells us.

"Charlie Parker was late to everything," Morey tells us.

"Charlie Parker had more drugs in him than a rite aid. Forget Charlie Parker." Babbette tells him.

"You guys are in room 8. It's all ready." I say to them and hand them their room key.

"Thanks, doll. Come on, Morey. We can be late for dinner if it'll make you feel better." Babbette tells him and they walk away to their rooms.

"Rune? What are you still doing here? The guests are coming any minute. Go get dressed." I hear Giselle tell Rune in the dining room then she walks in the lobby towards us.

"Bite me!" Rune yells at her but Giselle only waves him off.

"you freakin wish!" she yells back.

"You're a natural," Mom tells her.

"Thank you, thank you very much," she says and we see Lane come into the inn.

"Hey!" Lane greets us and walks over to us with her overnight bag in hand.

"Are you alone?" I ask her.

"Lane!" I hear her mother as she walks over to us with a tiny bag in her hand. I guess that answers my question.

"My wedding night is going to be very interesting," she tells me and Giselle.

"Hi Mrs. Kim, I'm glad you guys could come. You guys are in room 12." I tell them and hand them their room key.

"Thank you. Hello, Lorelai. Thank you for inviting us."

"Our pleasure. Do you need help bringing in the rest of your stuff?" Mom asks her.

"This is my stuff. I don't need any more stuff. People have too much stuff." Mrs. Kim tells us holding up her small purse.

"You know, your right. People have too much stuff. Absolutely." Mom agrees but I know she's lying.

"Um, Mama, this is Giselle, she goes to school with Rory." Lane introduces Giselle in the simplest way possible.

"Hi, Mrs. Kim. it's very nice to meet you." Giselle tells her and Mrs. Kim stares at her for a few seconds then leaves to go to her room. Lane waves goodbye and follows. "That was scary. I get it now." Giselle tells us and we see Paris walking through the door.
