Giselle POV:

The next day we are all supposed to rehearse again but I'm mainly going just to get the rest of the measurements I didn't get yesterday. Since I'm only doing the costumes I don't need to be at every rehearsal because I need as much time as I can get to fix up the old costumes, so everyone in the group that's acting will meet At Ms. Patty's after school and I'll stay home to continue with the wardrobe. I do still have to go again on Saturday because that's the day before the performance and Paris wants a dress rehearsal. That girl is weird but she's efficient and I can respect that.

Rory POV:

Big problem. Okay, maybe I'm over-exaggerating the situation, but I'm nervous all the time now. I know Giselle said she talked to Tristan for me but I need to double-check to see if he's gonna say anything. I wish this whole thing wasn't a big mess, especially since Dean's coming to rehearsal today.

I see Tristan talking to Duncan and Bowman at his locker so I decide to do this now. I have a feeling that it won't play out the way I want it, but it doesn't hurt to try, right?

"Excuse me, Tristan, can I talk to you for a second?" I ask him.

"I'll meet you guys later," he tells his friends and they walk away. "I'm all yours," he says.

"I need to talk to you about something serious," I tell him.

"Serious, huh, I'm intrigued," he says and takes out a textbook from his locker.

"Dean's coming to rehearsal tonight." I start.

"Wow, are you sure they can spare him? What if there is a run on baked beans?" He makes fun of my boyfriend's work then shuts his locker.

"Can you shut up for five seconds, please?" I ask him and he raises his hands in surrender. "Thank you. look, as I said, Dean's coming to rehearsal tonight, and I'd like to ask you to promise that you won't say anything about what happened." I request.

"What happened?" he asks.

"At the party." I add to see if he remembers now.

"At the party?" he still doesn't remember.

"Tristan! You and me at Madeline's party?" I ask to see if he remembers but he scratches his head. "You had just been kicked to the curb by that girl, Summer, and I found you sulking on a piano bench, and I sat down, we talked, and then... we kissed."

"That was you?" he asks.

"You know what, forget it," I say and start walking away.

"Hey, Rory." He catches up to me so I turn back around.

"There's no point in talking to you. I knew that yet I tried. Won't happen again." I tell him.

"You don't want me to tell Dean we kissed. I know, Giselle told me yesterday."

"By Goerge, I think he's got it," I comment.

"If that's what you want." he finally cooperates.

"It is."

"Although, he's gonna find out anyway." ... and I spoke too soon.

"What?" I ask.

"Well, come on, you know that when we kiss on stage, it's gonna be pretty obvious that it's not the first time. It always is." he says in a taunting voice and a 'know it all' expression plastered on his face.

"Look, things are really good with me and Dean right now, and I don't want anything to mess that up, especially not something that meant nothing at all to me and I wish had never happened in the first place," I tell him.
