hey guys, I'm gonna start trying to add pictures and gifs and I know that this is a weird one of Lorelai eating Chinese food but it's a good visual anyway :)
Giselle POV:
Two more weeks have passed and only a few things have changed. Rory and I have hung out more, she's come over to my house a couple of times. I've made it a routine to go to Patty's studio in Stars Hollow every Friday just to have the space for myself, blast my music, and dance, just for me.
Tristan and I have been going strong. He picks me up for school every day, we hang out together on the weekend and sometimes after school. the more time I spend with him the more I like him. I think he's starting to trust me because he's been telling me how he and his dad don't have the best relationship. he used to want to please him but now he says that he doesn't care what his parents think anymore. I don't think that's completely true but I've been trying to show support. He does the same as when I tell him about how lonely it is at home when mom is always working. Sometimes i wish she wasn't a surgeon or that my dad wasn't an asshole so that I could have a parent around when I need their company or their help. But no. It's just me.
Today is Saturday and Tristan is grounded for messing with some of his dad's things. My mom is at the hospital and Henry's busy with his family or something, so that pretty much leaves me alone for the night. I guess I could always call Rory and see what she's up to. I dial her number on the phone and wait for her to pick it up. It goes straight to voicemail so I page her.
Rory's POV:
"No, mom, I'm sure one crinoline will be plenty." Mom tells grandma on the phone and walks towards the kitchen. I look over at Dean sitting on the couch next to me, watching Neil Young in a tux on our tv.
"So?" I ask him.
"So what?" he asks.
"it's good, huh?" I ask him as Lane looks over the rules for the debutante ball next to Dean.
"It's the rock and roll hall of fame induction." he tells me.
"Yes, and doesn't Neil Young look cool?" I ask him.
"I guess." he answers.
"If you'll notice, he's wearing a tux." I point out to try and get Dean to be okay with taking me to the ball.
"Neil Young looks cool because he's Neil Young, not because he's wearing a tux." Dean tells me.
"No, I don't have to ask her mom, because I know the answer. I know the answer, mom. I know the answer." mom frustratedly tells grandma. "I don't have to ask her--uhg, hold on." she says to grandma and walks over to me. "Rory, would you like grandma's hairstylist to come and set your hair before the ball?" she asks me and I give her a sour face to say no. "oh, I did not coach her, mom!" She defends herself to grandma and I get a page from Giselle to call her.
"Who's that?" Dean asks me, referring to the page I just got.
"Giselle, she wants me to call her." I tell him and wave to my mom so that she can give me the phone.
"Is she your friend?" He asks me and I nod. "Is she a friend friend?" he asks again.
"What's that supposed to mean?" I ask him.
"Just that I haven't heard good things about the people at your school, that's all." Dean explains himself.
"Well you don't have to worry about Giselle being like Paris, she's a really good friend." I assure him and point back at Neil Young on our TV. "I think you're gonna look great in a tux." I tell him.
