day seven
"Before you'll tell us the story, how would you characterize this day?" Young asked Fatin, comfortable with the presence of two men.
"In the first place it was quiet normal.." she said ironically "Shelby told us some things about God, but otherwise a relatively calm day, beside the ones to supossed to come." she shrugged at a curious question.
"Your family worships someone, don't they, so what's the problem?" Faber asked, not liking the girl.
"You're supplied with information, yeah, my family is playing on some Muslim's shit, but I'm not really into it." both men nodded. "you know, if you were there you'd consider these things kinda boring."
"So, um.." Shelby started when they continued, covered in mud, "God knows I'm not a quitter, but at some point this search party.."
"Yeah, Shelby's right, we need to take a break.." Jade said and sat behind the blonde on the stump and ran her hands through the messy ponytail. "in addition, look how my shoes and new sweatshirt have turned out." Jade said sadly and girls nodded.
"We should start out fresh again tomorrow." Dot said, looking exhausted as well.
"We have to keep looking." Leah said, her voice breaking.
"Leah, if you think it's your fault, it's not." Jade reached over to the laces and tightened them.
"Yeah, she left on her own and stole our most expensive item we all need." Toni joined, looking at Jade, who wasn't paying attention.
"But we can't stop looking." Leah stood her ground. The girls were slowly running out of ideas to convince the girl to rest.
"The sun will be going down soon, Leah.." Dot took over again "you really want us out here stumbling around in the dark?" she asked her.
"We have to find her." she said again, begging with eyes.
"FATIN" "FATIN" "FATIN" she called long into the woods and began to move, with the other girls following.
......
"Fatin!" Leah was the only one who kept calling, Jade's vocal cords were already sore, so she avoided the high tones.
"Heyo" came from a distance, Leah shocked hurried over to see Fatin standing with a smile. "What's up?" the girl greeted them.
"Oh my God."
"What the hell happened to you?" Fatin asked, horrified, with everyone around her. "And what's that?" Fatin pointed to her hoodie, Jade was wearing. Jade looked in fear. "You look good even it's kinda dirty." Fatin was reaching in disgust for the dried mud on her sleeve.
"Wait, is that nail polish?" Shelby asked uneasily.
"Is this what you've been doing, painting your fucking gel tips?" Rachel was moving angry again.
"We've been out of our skulls looking for you." Dot snorted.
"And all this time you've been treating yourself to be a goddamn mani-pedi." Shelby spat.
"Ok are you done?" Fatin asked.
"No, I'm packing it." Jade waved and walked away at a slow pace.
"I have something to show you." Fatin said aloud, so Jade could hear it too.
"What?" Rachel asked confused.
"Is she trolling us or?" Jade was pointing at a girl who was walking in a certain direction and painted a red X on a tree. The girls followed her excitedly. She's finally led them to this mysterious place. Water. So much water. Jade developed a huge smile like everyone else.
