Chapter 5

The next few days after I agreed with Belos were quite. I've been able to avoid him all day except at dinner when I have to see him.
One day though while sitting in my assigned room I started thinking about home. Would it be possible to sneak out? Standing up I made my way across the room towards the door. Stopping to look at the door " can I do this" opening the door just a fraction to look around I spot the guard off to the right, asleep at his post. Seeing this I can't help but smile. If he's asleep then maybe it will be possible for me to get out. Quietly running down the hall passing the sleeping guard I stop only to look around the edge. No one there. I quickly take off down the hall, looking around trying to spot a window or something around that could help me. turning down another hall I'm so occupied looking for an escape route that I run into someone. bouncing back landing hard on the ground I look up feeling dread as e/c meet pericing blue eyes. " may I ask where you were going Y/n" Belos asks quietly. " We-well I thought a walk sounded nice so.." i trail off not meeting his gaze. Belos looks at me for a moment then turns " follow me please." I look at him as he starts walking away, suddenly he stops and looks back at me. " Now or I will make you." he says smoothly, and starts walking again. at that I quickly push my self and run to catch up with his strides. " Where are you taking me?" i ask quietly. he doesn't answer, making me even more worried. finally after a minuet or so he turns into a small room. on one side is a small table with a couple of chairs, on the other is a pair of door leading out to a balcony. then right in the middle is a small but nice fire place. belos stops at one of the plushy chairs in front of the table pointing to the other chair " Sit." he says his voice deeper sending shivers down my spine. i walk over and carefully sit in the chair sinking slightly into the plushness. he sits slowly looking over me taking note of every detail. still watching me carefully he asks calmly" now again where were you going and don't lie to me Y/n." I feel nervous as he looks at me his blue eyes locked with mine. quickly thinking i ask " Why am i here?" he doesn't say anything he just continues to stare in to my eyes. " mean the only time i see you is during dinner and even then you barely speak. What is the purpose of me being here?" I say my voice growing louder as i speak. He stops looking slightly taken back by my sudden anger. he suddenly closes his eyes taking a a deep breath. when he opens his eyes again he looks away from my face. something about you. i don't know what it was but it grabbed my attention. I find it fascinating how you act." he says simply meeting my eyes again. I'm shocked, i don't even know what i did to attract his attention but know i don't even know what to say. " I look up at him shock still written plain on my face. " but why did you want to keep me here?" I say quietly. so quiet he almost didn't hear. " because I wanted to study you. and because I like you." he says bluntly. I'm lucky I didn't have anything in my mouth or else I probably would have choked. I look up into his eyes searching for what he could possibly mean by that. " I understand if you don't wish to stay here." He says standing up. I watch as he approaches the door. Inside I'm torn. I want to leave. I mean heck that's what I was trying  to do, but I'm tired of doing the same routineevery day and I want change. I turn and right as he reaches to push it open I say " I'll stay" he stops for a moment and I think I've messed up, but when he turns around he looks genuinely pleased. "I'm glad to hear. Sadly I have some business I need to attend to, so the next time I will see you is dinner. I look forward to it." He says in a happy tone before he disappears out of the room.

A/n: I'm so, so, sorry for not publishing sooner and I know it sounds like I'm making up excuses, but I've been really busy and there was a death in the family a few days ago so I've been having to deal with that but I'm planning on publishing a little more often. But thank you to everyone who reads, I'm honestly really shocked so many have read like, I honestly thought I might be the only one who likes him, but I guess not.
