where reader is the youngest mikaelson and klaus always wants to know how is she, where she going, bc he really cares about her and never daggered her.

Being the youngest Mikaelson sibling is hard. You can't go anywhere outside the compound by yourself, can't go help them with the messes they get themselves into, and you can't even walk outside your room before one or all of your siblings are standing in front of you and questioning you like there's no tomorrow. And yes, it's nice because they care and love you and they're just doing it because they want to keep you safe and make sure that you're alright. But sometimes, it just gets to be way too much. Today has been one of those days.

"Elijah! Let me go! I'm literally just going to get a coffee!" I snapped as I tried to go around my elder brother.
"No, (Y/N). Stay here. Niklaus can go get you a coffee. There's no need for you to go out of your way and stress yourself out." He soothed as he attempted to sit me down on the couch.
Yup, this was definitely one of those days where they were too overprotective. I just wanted a coffee from the cute little shop down the street. Unfortunately, Elijah caught me on my way out and is really trying to get me to stay here so that I am 'safe'. But honestly? I'm literally just trying to go down the street to get a coffee. Nothing is gonna happen to me on the five minute walk to the cafe.
"Too bad Elijah can't get that through his thick skull," I thought to myself as I blew a loose strand of hair out of my face. Wait! I got it.
Without any warning, I sat down calmly and patted the seat beside me for Elijah to sit down.
"Fine. But Elijah," I started and leaned onto him once he sat next to me, "you guys have to start giving me some more freedom. I'm just as old as all of you and can take care of myself. Plus, I have many very protective siblings that I know I can count on if I ever get into trouble."
"We know that, (Y/N). We just don't want to see you hurt," he responded as he stroked my hair.
Now! As Elijah was still distracted with my hair and our conversation, I sat up straighter and turned to him, running one of my hands through his hair.
"Elijah, I love you and I'm glad that you're my brother." I reaffirmed him as he smiled softly at me.
"And I'm glad that you're my little sister. I love you, too. Now why don't we-"
But he didn't get to finish his sentence as I took the opportunity and snapped his neck.
"I'm sorry, big brother, but I need some freedom from y'all today." I mumbled as I walked out the front door.
Did I feel guilty about snapping his neck when he wasn't doing anything other than his brotherly duties and making sure that I'm safe and happy? Of course, but it was just all too much this morning. And yeah, everyone would be mad at me for doing that and leaving on my own but I didn't really care at the moment. I was happy to be walking down the road as it's a nice fall day with a slight breeze and just chilly enough for a light sweater. Honestly, it was perfect.
Well, it was perfect until I got until to the coffee shop. I walk in and ordered my drink and stood off to the side to wait for my drink. But as I was waiting, I could feel a weird sensation on the back of my neck and I brushed it off at first because I just wanted coffee.
Only, the longer I stood there, the worse the feeling got. But I ignored it to not tip off that I was uncomfortable. And I knew that I messed up. This is just great. So cliche, the one day I leave them on my own and I get into trouble. Of course.
So I just calmly pull out my phone and type in Niklaus's number and hit call. Which, of course, he picked up immediately.
"Hey, other big bro," I teased before he could say anything.
"(Y/N)! Where are you? Why did you leave by yourself? What were you thinking?" he roared into the phone to which I could hear Kol in the background.
"Careful, brother. Don't upset her because then she won't come back."
"Niklaus, you didn't make me coffee this morning," I told him hoping that he would use the word coffee and catch on to where I was without saying it straight out.
"(Y/N), what the hell are you talking about? Where are you? Are you okay?" He kept up with the questions like the idiot he is.
"Yes, I'm quite fine now that I've had my coffee. Now why are you yelling?" I tried to hint again hoping he understood because the feeling has just kept getting worse since I picked up the phone.
"Are you at the coffee shop?" He finally got it.
"Yes, and I'll be home later, maybe."
"We're on our way. Stay right there!" He demanded but didn't hang up so I figured it would be best to just stay on the phone.
But just at I went to take another sip of my coffee, a guy slid into the seat across from me.
"Ah. So you finally got out. Too bad, (Y/N). You're family really cares for you which is fortunate for us. Let's go." He explained just before the world went black.
