Mara was standing next to Kylie. The gears turning in her head, her thought train endless. A Mole? The one person that believed in Martin Carleton? It didn't seem right. If there was a Twilight Hunter which wasn't likely considering he wants to vanquish all Twilight Hunters and have all Bottom Realm residents under his control, which would be much worse then they have a death wish
"Is there anyone in the building that has a personal status with him?" Mara asked, she saw the confusion on their faces, asking an easy question would be what he would want them to do, the hard questions were not would he'd expect us to ask
"Yes. There is" Kara said
"Who?" Mara asked. Kara looked down, afraid to make eye contact
"Diana Cordelia Remington" Kara answered. This was the exact moment the everything slowed down, she could hear her heart beat, everything moved in slow motion. Before she knew it, she was in her sister's office, closing the door behind her
"You didn't tell me that our mother was here" Mara said, Evelyn sighed
"I knew you wouldn't come if you knew she was here. We have a lot to talk about" Evelyn said and Mara rolled her eyes
"The woman abandoned us after our father died. I was putting food on the table the only way I could, she never thanked me and she most definitely didn't respect me any more for it" Mara said frustratedly
"Mara, she was upset, naturally, her husband died" Evelyn said, Mara sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose
"Dad was alive when she sent you to Britain" Mara said and Evelyn looked down
"I know. She made some mistakes, we all have. But we need to speak with her. It's very vital" Evelyn said and Mara looked down, guilty
"I had her arrested" she mumbled
"What?" Evelyn asked standing up from the wooden desk
"I had her arrested. There is a mole in the Fellowship and she was romantically involved with Martin Carleton, giving her more reason to betray us" Mara said
"Mara, she's not a mole" Evelyn said and Mara sighed
"That's exactly what they said about Chloe Alvara" Mara said, Evelyn sighed before sitting back down
"Alright. Question her as long as no harm comes to her" Evelyn said defeatedly with a hand pressed to her temple
"Thank you Evelyn" Mara said as she turned to leave
"But the three of us will be having a discussion later on" Evelyn warned
"Okay" Mara said before she left the office
