The Doctor came downstairs, it was late and he knew Rose would've been in bed hours ago if he hadn't been in her bedroom researching. The first room he entered was the lounge, there he found John and Rose curled up on the sofa watching TV. John looked up when the Doctor came in. "If you came to talk to her, she fell asleep about fifteen minutes ago." John said to the Doctor.

The day he'd lost her. In his head he told himself off. "No, I don't want to go up there and wake her up with a kiss and tell her I still love her. I certainly don't want to spend the night making love to her. She's got John and she's happy. Leave it there." With the internal battle still raging he left the lounge to find Jackie. He still wasn't sure where he was sleeping tonight...
