The Doctor had been assigned the little box room on the other side of the wall to Rose's. He had taken another two hours to get to sleep. He had lain in bed, clad in only a pair of boxers as he hadn't got his pyjamas from the TARDIS, thinking of anything that could have happened to make the void open up. After that, he had just thought about Rose. It was so good to see her. He was glad she was happy. Memories of him and her, exploring the universe sent him to sleep.
Rose, on the other side of the wall, was dreaming of her memories of travelling the universe too. They played through her mind like a video. A constant stream of memories that one day would become the stories she told her children. Then one memory flashed into her dreams. One that made her cry out "Doctor!" she was still asleep, not able to stop shouting. "Doctor! Help me! Doctor! Where are you? I won't leave you. I made my choice, please let me stay with you! Doctor!"
The Doctor had leapt out of bed at the sound of Rose's cries for him. He ran into her bedroom, no John in the room. Oh well, it wasn't like he'd never held her after an emotionally draining day, held her and comforted her. Watched her sleep. He walked to the edge of the bed and kneeled down. Putting his hand in hers, he softly called her name. "Rose, sweetie, I'm here. Rose!" At the sound of his voice she sat bolt upright in bed. He'd only just noticed the tears streaming down her face.
She turned and looked at him. "Oh, Doctor! Thank God!" Before he could move away, she had wrapped her arms round his neck. Hugging him tightly, then cautiously, he hugged her back. She moved her head so that it was directly in front of his. Millimetres away. He groaned. How did he get himself into these situations? He wanted her and from the look in her eyes, she wanted him too.
Rose heard the Doctor's groan. It was erotic but humorous at the same time. She couldn't take it anymore. She leaned in and as she did, so did he. Their mouths met and clung. Just the contact made Rose want the Doctor again. Then he moved, deepening the kiss. He moved his tongue along her bottom lip, opening her mouth. He slipped inside. This time it was her that groaned. She wanted him. In the TARDIS, they had often fallen asleep together. Out of comfort as much as longing. Then there had been one night where they were falling asleep but for some reason the Doctor had told her he couldn't take it anymore and had begun kissing her. She'd taken of his pyjamas and then her thin, silk nightdress. They'd been completely naked but had pulled apart and stopped it before anything happened they might regret.
Back in the present, the Doctor slowly pulled away. He managed to ask, "Where's John?"
"He got called into Torchwood. Some alien wreck landed nearby, he'll be back by lunchtime tomorrow."
"So, he won't walk in on us then?"
"No. Which is good because I want you. Now. Hot, deep and inside me."
"Your wish is my command." He moved on top of her and pulled his boxers off as he did so. Tonight, he was going to show her how much he loved her...
