Rose went back to her office an hour later tocheck on the Doctor but he wasn't there. She was reliably informed that he had gone to the labs and the staff were becoming increasingly annoyed with his smugness. Rose could only imagine what those poor staff were going through right now, she had to stifle a chuckle as she imagined it. She sent the guard that had given her the information back with a message for the Doctor, to get someone to call her if he needed her but otherwise she would be leaving for home in two hours, and to make sure he was ready to leave.

She carried on, back to where she had been working on a heap of paperwork that she had been putting off, but since she wasn't meant to be there that day therefore didn;t have anything to do, she had decided to make a start. Although, it was hard to see there was any progress on it.

Sure enough, two hours later she went to the labs to find the Doctor and as she's expected all the lab staff looked like they wanted to kill him. As she was walking in she heard him say "And that is why I am brilliant! Unlike you lot who couldn't see what was right on the end's of your noses, I saw the obvious and investigated. I am more than clever." She walked straight into the middle of the room, to where the Doctor was stood.

"Doctor, it's been two hours. I said I would give you two hours and I have so lets go, yeah?"

"But I don't want to leave yet."

"Doctor, I am saving you from certain death, now lets go!" She said as she dared to take a quick glance round the room at the murderous looks on peoples faces.

Within ten minutes, Rose had got the Doctor to leave the labs and had collected some files he wanted from her office. She had locked it up and they had arrived home safely. The Doctor was now firmly stuck into the files he had borrowed from Torchwood and had also comandeered Rose's laptop for research.

By the time they had persuaded him downstairs to eat dinner with them, he had a frowning, serious face. Although Rose noticed during the course of the meal it had turned to a smile and at the end when Jackie (Rose's mum)was collecting plates, they made eye contact. The Doctor smiled at Rose and she smiled back, then mouthed, "That's more like it!"
