I got out of my bath and dried off. I quickly got dressed and I was about to put on the sweatshirt when I recognized it. It was the one I had given to him when we first met.
(Flash back)
"Mom! It is so hot here but it is so much better than the constant rain we get in London." We laughed together. "Is daddy going to meet us here or at the hotel?" "He is going to meet us at the hotel. But we get to do some shopp" She was interrupted by gasps. A little boy was covered in ketchup and soda. He was soaked. I walked over to him and his mom had taken his shirt off to try to get the ketchup off of it. I took off my sweat shirt and handed it to him with a smile. "It might be purple, but it's at least dry." I said still smiling. "Thank you." He said quietly. He put the sweat shirt on and I walked to momma. Momma had followed me and started talking to his mom. They exchanged numbers and we left the mall that day without a sweat shirt but with new friends.
I cant believe he kept this sweat shirt. It was an extra large then since It was the only size they had but that's what made me love it. I brushed my hair and left it down for the first time in a long time wanting it to be easy to cut in the morning. I Tied the sweat pants around my waist because they were really long and I walked out of the room.
I knocked on the door to his room and he opened it quickly. The lights were out and there was two blankets covering the entrance to my bed. I ran into his arms just wanting to hug him. I was hit with a sense of comfort then His face crept into my mind and I backed away. After a few minuets, He moved the blankets apart and I went inside. There were fairy lights covering the top of the bed and two boxes of pizza on the end of the bed on top of a small lap table. My laptop was opened and the next marvel movie on the list was paused at the beginning.
He gave me some blankets and we put some pizza on two plates and we started the movie. Halfway through the movie we put our plates and the one empty pizza box on the floor outside of the bed and we repositioned to sitting next to each other and the laptop was on both of our legs. He had his arm around my shoulders and I layed my head on him. He fell asleep and the movie ended. I was a little uncomfortable so I gently moved his arm from around me and put it next to his side. I couldn't sleep and put on one of the two things that has calmed me down through the years before I met him and after. I put on Miraculous ladybug. I always understood Adrien and how he felt with his father being so distant, the home school thing even though I have never gone to a real school, The disappeared mother, the best friend, everything. Well except the superhero part. I put on my favorite episode. Chat Blanc. I was silently crying at the end and decided to watch the series from the beginning. I didn't remember falling asleep but I must have cause the alarm for 4:30 scared me awake. I turned it off and played my show again. It was only three episodes since I fell asleep so I hadn't been asleep long. I woke JT up a few minuets later so he could get ready for his run. I explained that I was really tired so I was going to stay here this time.
He crawled out of the bed and changed in the room. (The blankets were still covering the entrance to the bed so she couldn't see through.) As he was changing, Chat blanc came on. I didn't realize I was singing along. "Little Kitty on a roof all alone without his lady." My eye lids slowly fell. I pulled the blanket closer to me as my eye's finally shut. Tears silently flowing out of them. I was so thankful that I was able to have a dreamless sleep. No stranger telling me how ugly or fat I am, No whisper of a father, no shadow of a mother, no judgement from a best friend. Only the warmth the blanket provided .
