School, the place we go to learn. School contains our lives, giving us the right idea on where to go in life.
Isn't it funny how we rely on others for our future?
We lean on the school's shoulder, walking the path with it holding our hand, supporting us every step of the way until we reach the end where it can finally dispose of us like we're nothing.
That's what she did to me, the girl I thought would be with me forever. She left me to pursue her love interest with a fellow classmate of mine.
Ever since I've been hanging onto my best friend's hand, crying on their shoulder and calling them till early in the morning. I couldn't be more thankful to have a friend like Jihyo, she has really helped me through a lot.
"Don't be upset when I tell you this, okay?" Jihyo's hand is firmly resting on my shoulder as I watch my ex and her new partner walk down the school hallway.
"What is it?"
"I can't walk home with you today"
"Doesn't bother me" I shrug my shoulders, walking away with my school books in hand.
"Doesn't bother you? But you normally need my help because you're too afraid to bump into her"
"We're neighbours, we're going to bump into each other at some point, it's bound to happen " a sigh comes from the girl beside me.
"Alright, just don't do anything stupid, promise?" Her pinky reaches out in front of me, causing me to stop and look at her.
"We're not five anymore" she rolls her eyes at my statement.
"You sure act like one though"
"Fine" I huff, wrapping my pinky with hers "I promise not to do anything stupid whilst you're gone"
A smile spreads across her face "thank you, was that so hard y/nie"
"Oh, no. God no, not this again" I back up before running away from her. I can't deal with her doing this again considering last time she did this it ended up with us falling to the floor in a rather rough way, I spent the next month in hospital with a broken leg.
