Tutor- Mina

It's been tough lately. All these upcoming exams and especially studying, I spend seven agonising hours a day studying whilst the rest is spent eating, sleeping or being at school

However, that's just got even tougher now that I've been assigned a tutor. I have one of the quiet but popular students coming over to my house any minute now to help me with my grades. She's a straight A student and said to never have failed a test.

To be honest… she probably only gets high grades otherwise her parents would probably wack he- i mean lightly yell… wack her- no definitely lightly go over the topic… ha ha..

So now I'm quietly sitting at my desk, my equipment is catapulted all over my room due to my panic. It's Mina after all. I take one enormous breath in, then release it. My lungs feel like they've been thrown on a grill and cooked till burnt… they hurt okay?

Why am I so nervous, even my thoughts are having a weird impact.

The sudden sound of my doorbell ringing around my house catches me off guard, making me throw one of my pens at the wall. Oh gawd, what the heck is wrong with me today?

With hesitation evident in my movements, I head downstairs and to the door. I take a quick peek through the peephole and see Mina in all her elegant glory.

My hand rests on the door handle, slowly opening the rectangular slab of wood, preferably known as a door.

"Hello?" Her timid voice comes to my ears. Oh lord I'm ready to pass away now. This is going to be the death of me.

"H-Hello, please come i-in" why do I have to stutter.. I'm a disappointment to myself for sure.

Mina nods and walks in, a folder filled with paper in her hand alongside her bag. "Follow me" I say, guiding her to my room.

Apart from my room looking like someone was being murdered and decided to throw maths equipment everywhere, it looks decent.

"Let's start shall we?" Now it's my turn to follow Mina as she sits at my desk. I patiently watch her pull out a wide range of papers, each containing questions on various topics.

From there on we learnt, well I did and she just sat there, effortlessly pointing at questions for me to do and sometimes helping me when I'm stuck on one.

I cracked a few nervous jokes here and there to see if I could make her giggle, even a smile but to my reveal… I got absolutely nothing in return.

I would often lose track of what I was doing to get her to talk and more than often enough I would zone out, my focus fixated on her face.

"What's this question?" Mina points to yet another, mid way through the page.

"This is easy mina" I roll my eyes, writing the correct answer down on a piece of paper she gave me earlier.

"Very well then, this one"

"Easy" I write the correct answer down again. 

"You think you're smart, don't you?" Mina giggles for the first time today!

"Uh, yes?"my voice is quiet and gives off a certain unsure vibe. Mina stares at me with one eyebrow raised, her arms crossed and a challenging look in her beautiful brown eyes.

"Then Solve this for me. Why does my heart beat so fast when I'm around you?"
