"I love you"

His voice haunts my mind, his smile dances in front of my eyes. His brown eyes warm my cold body. With a gasp for breath I wake up. Sweat is dripping down my back. I take another deep breath and lie still in my bed. I hear the servants and maids rushing through the hallways.
I am still in Narnia.

Quickly I push the heavy blankets from my body and the cold morning wind hits it with force. I shiver as my feet hit the floor. 'Where is she? It is almost nine-thirty in the morning and she is still not down for breakfast!' I hear Edmund rant as he makes his way past my door. I giggle and wash myself quickly with the bowl of water that is standing in my bathroom. The water runs down my face, waking me up and I look in the mirror. My face is glowing, the life in my eyes has returned.
I am back.

A knock on my door lets me jump. 'My lady? The majesty's are waiting on your arrival. Shall I help you dress?' Another knock. 'My queen?'
'Yes, please come in!' I call out as I walk out of the bathroom. A young maiden enters, her brown hair in a braid on her back, she has vibrant green eyes and when she sees me, she smiles. 'Your majesty' She curtsies. 'Hi' I say a bit awkward, I have to learn about the protocol again. 'I hear that they are waiting on me?' She nods her head. 'Yes your majesty' The girl says, while hiding a giggle. 'It is okay to laugh, I think it is quite funny too. King Edmund becomes cranky when he hasn't eaten'
She laughs and finally looks me in the eye. 'Shall I quickly help you in your dress?'
'Please' I push myself out of the dress and just now I see that this is the dress I wore yesterday' The girl looks at me quizzically. 'I was too tired to get out of my dress...' I lie and I feel my cheeks flash with warmth. But the maiden just smiles and quickly helps me out of the dress and corset. She helps me wash my arms and legs and I put on new panties and a white slip dress. Then she puts me in a new corset and a white skirt. Then I choose a green floor length dress with flowers embroidered on the upper part of the dress. The maiden works quickly and without a lot of talking. She even brushes my hair and I wish it was longer like it was 1300 years before. She hands me my crown and I take it from her. I look in the mirror and she myself; queen once again.

'I am going to drag her down the stairs by the hair!' I hear Edmund yell angrily. I giggle when I take the last few steps of the stair and rushes towards the dining room. 'I am here! I am here!' I laughably say. 'Finally!' My younger brother yells as he leaps out of his chair and stuffs a piece of sausage in his mouth. 'What the heck were you doing up there' He says as he swallows his food. 'Wait, wait don't tell me. I really don't want to know. I've been waiting forever for you! Do you know how hard it is for me to be surrounded by food and not be able to eat it' I giggle and look at Caspian, who is grinning from ear to ear. He pulls out a chair next to him and I take it happily. 'Please sit down, it is not that I was talking at all' Edmund says, but I ignore him once again.
Peter and Lucy are also taking food on their plate and look with warm eyes at me. 'So Cas' Edmund continues. 'Cas!?' He leans across the table and claps loudly inches from Caspian's face. 'Ed!' I grunt. But Caspian takes my hand from beneath the table and squeezes. 'Oh, I hadn't really thought about it. But I suppose you all better meet the council. They will certainly want to meet you now you all are ruling Narnia once more'
'Caspian' Peter looks up and the young king. 'Are you willing to share your kingdom with us?'
Caspian looks at me and back at my brother. 'You are my family and for the record, you have longer ruled a country than I ever have. So your wisdom is very valuable. And I am just happy to have you all back!' But something in his speech tells me he hates the council or its members.

After breakfast we make our way towards the hallway, I am very excited about ruling again. To help my people once more. I walk next to Caspian, but he is dreading his steps, like he really doesn't want to. I take his hand and squeeze and intertwine our fingers. I hear Peter's protecting disapproving scowl.
Idiot.
