The trio was up and moving by sunrise, they didn't want to stay in one spot for too long since the word about a new arrival had already been spreading. Max led the trio into the forest which was a shortcut to an unpopular market street, they could probably go there to buy stuff without getting caught. Of course no one knew it was them who brought the new girl in but they didn't want to risk anything before the competition. Max was first to go threw the bushes to get to the street followed by Alexa and Kinoko. Alexa wore a black hoodie and always kept her hood on until she could find a disguise to fit in. Alexa looked to her right and saw a costume shop, she stopped and Kinoko ran into her.

"What the hell Alexa!? Why'd you stop?" Kinoko whisper yelled, Max stopped and looked back to see what was happening.

"A costume shop" Alexa whispered as she pointed to the little stand. Kinoko and Max stared at the stand for a second before deciding it would be best to get the disguise now.

"You keep walking around and I will go with Alexa and help her pick a costume" Kinoko said sternly to Max, he nodded his head then continued to walk around. Kinoko grabbed Alexa's hand and walked with her over to the stand.

"Hello there you beautiful ladies!" The woman said behind her desk, she was noticeably short and had the same ugly green skin as the evil queen's subjects. Her black hair looked like it hadn't been brushed in years and she looked like she was wearing cheap clothing as well.

"We were just wondering if you have any doe or elf costumes available?" Kinoko asked. Alexa was shocked for a second before remembering where she was.

'Elves and doe's must be common around here..' Alexa thought to herself.

"Ah yes! I will get my daughter to help you lovely ladies!" The woman said, she stood up and took a couple steps toward the back of the stand. "FAWN!" The lady shouted. Alexa and Kinoko looked at each other, then back at the lady.

"Is someone supposed to show up?" Alexa whispered to Kinoko, she shrugged. Kinoko had honestly never been to this part of the forest, she mostly stayed near her house or the flower field. Suddenly the bushes started moving and out jumped a young doe, maybe a bit younger than Alexa. A doe in Kinoko's land was a woman who was unbelievably beautiful and had deer like features, like tan skin and sweet eyes. The doe had messy light brown hair and tan skin, her nose being a bit darker than the rest of her skin color. She wore a light green t-shirt, and white shorts that went down to her middle thigh.

"Yes mother?" Fawn smiled toward the short lady.

"These two are wanting a doe or elf costume, please show them what we have" Alexa and Kinoko stared at the doe, then at the short lady.

'There is no way that beautiful girl is her daughter' Alexa thought to herself, before Kinoko grabbed her hand and dragged her to follow Fawn. Fawn led the two girls to the back corner of the stand.

"Here we go! This is all we have for today!" Fawn's light, yet a bit raspy voice said. Before Fawn walked away Alexa stopped her.

"Hey um..." Fawn looked back at Alexa, Alexa stared straight into Fawn's eyes. They were pure black orbs, just like the other lady at the desk.

"Oh my eyes!" Fawn smiled, "I got my eyes from my mother, then she says I got the rest of my good looks from my father" Fawn explained.

"Who is your father, if you don't mind me asking?" Alexa asked, Kinoko ignored their whole conversation and looked for a good costume.

"I actually don't know, my mother never told me anything about him" Fawn's smiled faded a bit, before she brought it back up again.

"I'm sorry about that.." Alexa apologized quietly.

"It's fine, don't worry about it!" Fawn paused and looked back at her mother. "Though it has always been my dream to find him" Fawn whispered quietly underneath her breath.

"How about this elf costume Alexa!" Kinoko walked up to Alexa and showed them the fake pointed ears and makeup kit.

"Oh um, yeah sure that works" Alexa turned to Kinoko, then back to Fawn.

"Great I can ring you two up! Follow me!" Fawn said, they all walked up to the front desk and Fawn stood behind the desk smiling.

"Ok, that'll be four queen coins" Fawn smiled at Kinoko. Kinoko reached into her pocket and took out three silver coins that had the letter 'Q' on them.

"What are queen coins?" Alexa quietly asked Kinoko, making sure Fawn wouldn't hear.

"It's our source of payment, each coin is worth a lot of your human money" Kinoko whispered back.

"Here you two go! Have fun!" Fawn handed Kinoko the bag and smiled, Alexa followed Kinoko out of the stand as they met up with Max.

The queen sighed, she had been overworking herself and overthinking the situation. A knock boomed throughout her room as she turned around in her chair to face the door.

"Come in" The queen rolled her eyes as the same small creature from before came running into her room.

"M-my queen" The creature bowed infront of the queen.

"What do you want?" The queen said annoyed. The creature quickly stood up and tried to gather his words.

"I-I think I h-have a lead o-on the n-new person!" The queen's eyes widened. She stood up and walked over to the creature and held him at edge point, slightly pushing her staff into his throat.

"WHO!?" The queen's voiced echoed loudly throughout her empty room.

"A-A BOY N-NAMED MAX AND A G-GIRL NAMED K-KINOKO BROUGHT T-THE NEW G-G-GIRL!" The creature stuttered out. The queen lowered her staff and brought it away from his throat.

"And who is the girl they brought in?" The queen asked sternly, her purple-ish grey eyes peircing through his skin.

"I d-d-don't know y-yet my queen"

"You have forty-eight hours to find this girl before I must murder your family, it would be very sad if your doe daughter had to perish" The queen explained. The creature's eyes widened at what she had said.

"I-I don't have a daughter m-my queen" The creature said quietly.

"Not yet, but if you do a good job I can make arrangements to get you a doe daughter, and you wont even need to sleep with another woman" The queen explained. The creature smiled, then bowed before running out of the room. The king emerged from the shadows again and walked up to the queen.

"promising things to the servants now are we?" He whispered into the queen's ear.

"I must have that girl eliminated" She said sternly before walking back to her seat, she stared out the window watching her world thrive.

"Come on out! I want to see how she looks!" Max yelled. Kinoko was behind a big rose bush wall helping Alexa with her disguise.

"Almost ready! Hold your unicorns damn!" Kinoko yelled back. Alexa laughed a bit, she admired Kinoko's and Max's friendship, she wished she could have had that growing up. Kinoko put the final finishing touches on Alexa's disguise then looked at her, she smiled.

"We don't have all day you two!" Max yelled. The two girls stood up and walked out from behind the bushes. "Holy shroom.." Max stared at Alexa, her ears now pointed and her kin looked so soft, she was beautiful in his eyes.

"Well how'd I do?" Kinoko asked, she stood proudly.

"Amazing" Was all Max could say, Kinoko gave him a death glare. After what almost happened behind that bush, Kinoko was now going to be very protective of Alexa.

"Well we should continue moving before the sun starts to set" Alexa said, Kinoko andMax agreed and they all continued their journey
