Her Realm

ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀ 2, ꜱᴇᴘᴛᴇᴍʙᴇʀ 11ᴛʜ 1986 ᴀꜰᴛᴇʀɴᴏᴏɴ

            Alexa packed a few things like a bottle of water and warm clothing before following Max to the playhouse once more. She was a bit nervous as she walked through the tall green grass of the field, what if Max was lying to her?

"Here we are Alexa" Max said as they approached the playhouse, Alexa just stared at the playhouse. The bright yellow paint was chipping off, showing the white undercoat, the windows had been broken before and were now covered with wood planks to try and hide the damage. Alexa followed Max into the playhouse, right now it was in its normal playhouse form and Alexa had to bend down a bit to fit in it. Alexa turned around and saw the light switch, she looked at Max for approval before switching it. Suddenly the lights went off and when they came back on the playhouse was now a mansion again.

"You ready to go?" Max asked, Alexa took a deep breath then nodded. Max closed his eyes then suddenly wind surrounded the two forming a tornado like portal. Alexa stared at the ground wide eyes as she began to float up along with Max. Soon everything went dark.

"Max what have you done!" Alexa began to wake up and heard a light female voice yelling.

"She can help us!" Max yelled back at the girl, except Max was no longer a dog but a boy. Max had pale blue skin and fluffy sky-blue hair, his eyes being a deep ocean blue. Alexa sat up and stared at the girl and Max. The girl had vibrant red ginger hair and pointed ears, she was short compared to Max. She had light brown eyes, almost like a hazel color. She turned around and stared at Alexa for a second before walking up to Alexa and helping her up. Alexa looked around her, she was in a beautiful, gated garden with trees that looked so tall they touched the sky.

"Hello, my name is Kinoko" She put her hand out and Alexa shook her hand. Her voice was high pitched, yet soft and stern at the same time.

"I'm Alexa" Alexa said.

"I'm sorry that Max had dragged you here and into our mess" Kinoko said, Alexa was a bit confused. From what she could see this world they lived in was beautiful and lovely, bright green grass and flowers all around them. Max walked up to the girls and that's when Alexa realized just how tall Max was.

"So um let's get to know each other first before going on this adventure?" Max suggested awkwardly. Kinoko and Alexa nodded. "Well I am Max and I am 16 years old, I go by he/they pronouns" Max introduced himself.

'They have pronouns here too?' Alexa thought to herself.

"Well I am Kinoko and I am 16 years old, I go by she/her pronouns" Kinoko introduced herself. Max and Kinoko looked at Alexa.

"Um, my name is Alexa and I am 15 years old and I go by she/they pronouns.." Alexa said, Max and Kinoko smiled.

"Well now that the introductions are settled, let's get down to why you're here Alexa" Kinoko said sternly. Alexa was a bit confused, she thought she was here to save her best friend and her mother.

"Um about that Kinoko" Max started, Kinoko whipped her head around to face Max.

The evil queen sat down on her throne and watched over her land, a knock echoed through the queen's room.

"Come in" Her stern, deep voice echoed throughout her room as she heard the door opened. A small green creature came waling in, he was wearing something that looked like a potato sack around his fat body. His hair was messy and dark, his eyes being pure black.

"My queen, there has been a sighting of someone new in the land" The creatures raspy voice said as he bowed down to the queen.

"A new person you say? Well track them down and bring them here and we will punish them for leaving" The queen replied, her voice still stern.
