Part 1

POV Jackson
It's my first day at the new hospital. Ever since the merger everyone has been on edge about losing their jobs. But now we're here. We're still here. No matter how long that might last, no matter how soon I might get fired, I'm gonna enjoy my time here.
Me and Charles step into the crowed residents lounge. A wash of blue and orange scrubs. Which actually helps differentiate between people I know and people I don't know. I see across the room the most beautiful girl. Black curly hair. She's talking to a man I've also never met. He said something that made her laugh. I needed to know more about her. I see their is a spare cubby next to the one she's standing at so head over to that one. When I get there the man she was talking to looks at his watch "gotta go. Later."
"Yeah, later." She turns back around clipping her pager to her scrubs.
I say "hey" and smile.
She gives back a smile I can tell she didn't want to give and walks off.
Even though she was pretty rude to me I'm still intrigued.
I've been assigned to the ER today. When I get down there I see that she's also working in the pit. I try to get patients in beds near where she was working all day but one case came in and the trauma Dr put us both on it. I was struggling to get something done when she pushed me out of the way and did it in seconds. I was amazed. She was brilliant. I glance at her name tag. 'Cristina Yang'.
Later that day she was sat in the cafeteria with a brown haired woman and that same man from earlier. I wonder if that's her boyfriend. I wonder if she even has a boyfriend. She looks like she's in the middle of a serious discussion. She takes a fry from the mans plate, he notices but doesn't seem to mind. Another woman walked up to there table. She has short blonde hair, in a sort of pixi cut style. She kisses the man on the lips. Well, he's not Cristina's boyfriend.
I was all set to leave when I passes a patient room. Cristina was inside laying on the bed next to the patient. She looked like she had just been crying. God I'm so intrigued by this girl. I have to find out more. Well there's tomorrow.
