Part 5

POV Jackson
I wake up with my arm wrapped around Cristina. I have a faint memory of what happened last night. I'm just wearing my underwear and I'm guessing she is too because our clothes are scattered along my bedroom floor. I slowly unwrap my arm from around her waist throwing on yesterday's clothes and going into the kitchen. I think weather I should make breakfast for her but before I can even make a decision she's already standing in my kitchen wearing last nights clothes holding her shoes.
"Hey..." she says awkwardly.
"Morning" i respond.
"Erm, last night-"
"Was a mistake. I know."
"No I was gonna say- wait you think it was I mistake?"
I splutter shaking my head. She smiles.
"I was going to say, last night was fun. And I'd like to do it again sometime. Not just the 'last night' part but the... playing darts and talking part too...I had a really good time" she says hesitantly.
"Me too." I smile "breakfast?"
She looks at the clock "actually I think it's a little late for that..."
I realise that we're both late for work. "Crap!" I grab my sneakers and pull them on. Cristina sits on my couch putting on her boots. She grabs her purse and jacket from the armchair in my entryway as I open the door for her.
As we sit in my car listening to the radio on low volume I realise I have nothing to say. I'm glad she broke the silence first.
"Oh, and can we keep this on the DL? If everyone at the hospital finds out..." she takes a breath "I don't know it might mess things up."
"Right, I was gonna say, just until we figure things out."
"Yeah" she responds.
We sit in silence for a few minutes until I say "so who's service are you on today?"
"Plastics with Sloan."
"Really?"
"Yeah why?"
"...me too"
"Keeping this a secret is going to be hard." She sighs.
"Yeah, especially because I can't keep my eyes off of you for 2 seconds." I say charmingly.
She giggles "stop"
"No I'm serious. It's a hazard" She laughs even harder.
