Part 13

POV Jackson
I drive Cristina to work. She has been really quite all morning. "Do you want me to ask what's wrong? Because i don't have to." I tell her.
She takes a breath "when i was 13" her eyes fill with tears "when i was 13 my best friend died in a car crash." Grab her hand and squeeze it tight "thats why yesterdays loss hit me hard" when were stopped at some traffic lights I lean over and give her a kiss. "I'm so sorry Cristina." I whisper. She wipes away her tears and pulls down the mirror and fixes her makeup. When we get to the hospital she unbuckles her seat belt and then turns so shes facing me. "Ok, so we said we wouldn't define anything yet. We said we would wait but its been a couple weeks so I'm saying it. Can we go public as boyfriend/ girlfriend?" I smile at how cute she is but i think she takes it as I'm laughing at her "ugh I'm go bad at this" she says covering her face. I take her hands in mine.
"I would love to." She kisses me.
We walk into the residents lounge. She starts getting changed but there's no one in there I start kissing her "now we can do this whenever we want" i say kissing her again.
"You could at least let me get changed first" she giggles.
We walk down to the coffee cart together and run into Meredith on the way. We are all in the ER today so we walk there together. Somehow we manage to catch Alex on the way to do a peds consult in the pit.
After an hour or so in the pit Cristina and I are in a big trauma surgery together with Dr Torres, Dr Hunt, Dr Bailey, Dr Altman and Dr Shepherd.So basically someone from every department. Also Meredith and her sister Lexi. It's a long surgery but about half way through me and Cristina get sent back font to the pit because they need more hands. We get down there and splint a few fingers, suture a few minor cuts and treat a sew sprained ankles. It was a boring day. The only thing that really got me through it was thinking about going home with Cristina.
Our shift is over and we're getting changed in the residents lounge when Alex invites us to have a drink at Joe's.
We sit in the booth next to the dart board and have a torment. First it was me vs Cristina, she won. Then Alex vs Meredith, he won. Then Cristina vs Alex. Of course Cristina won because shes amazing at everything. We all got super drunk but lucky  Cristinas place is like 2 minutes away so we walk there while Meredith wand Alex get a cab back to theirs. Me and Cristina have a good time and barley end up sleeping at all that night. Which of course results in a massive hangover in the morning.
