(Y/n)'s POV
It's been almost a month since Jay, and I moved into the apartment. We've both under a lot of stress, but we don't take time to sit and talk with each other since were always busy.
I sigh, at last a day off. Maybe I can see if Jay can take off too. I towards his room, and knock on his door.
"Come in!!" I hear him shout faintly, I open the door, and walk in.
"Hey, Jay."
"Hey, is something wrong? Are you okay?" Jay stood up and questions me quickly.
"Jay," I talked over him, "Jay!" I shout, he stops talking and looks me in the eye. "Im fine, okay?" I look him back im the eye, and he nods slowly. "I just wanted see if you could take off today, and well then we can spend some time together."
"Sure, I'll ask my boss." He quickly goes, and grabs his phone. I watch him for a second before leaving the room, and going to my room to check how much money I now had saved. By now, we should be able to at least afford a bed or a couch. Depends though, I want to start working on the living room before anything.
I want everything to look nice, not expensive, not old, just nice. Honestly, living with my best friend wasn't what I had in mind, but I guess in the end it's okay.
I sigh, as I begin to count up.
Five. Ten. Fifteen. Twenty. Thirty. Forty. Fifty. Seventy. Ninety. One hundred in ten. One hundred in-
"Ah, shit. what number was i at again?" I ask myself, "was it one hundred in-" I talk to myself, but Jay knocks on my door that I left wide open and he walks in and interrupts me.
"My boss said I could take off, but just for now. He said I'm lucky that somebody offered to take my place, we've been short-staffed lately after some people left.." Jay states, and I nod, smiling lightly.
"Okay, great! I'm sorry if I made you feel bad or something, I didn't know you were-" Again I get interrupted by the male standing in front of me.
"(Y/n), it's okay. I promise." He chuckles lightly, and I stare at him blankly.
"How?"
Jay tilts his head, "How what?" He laughs in confusion.
"How are you so happy all the time?" I ask looking straight into his chestnut brown eyes, but he doesn't look back into me (e/c) ones.
"I guess you could say," He pauses for a moment, "It's a way of coping." He smiles warmly, I stare at him and forcefully form a smile on my face. "Anyways, what were you doing?" He looks at my left hand, which had a small stack of money.
"Counting how much money I've made," I shrug, "I lost count because my thoughts took over." I laugh lightly, and he nods. "Have you counted your money?"
"Mhm!" He exclaims, "I've made $328, plus some change."
I nod, "Get ready, I'm going to count my money for the time being." He doesn't say anything, and just leaves the room.
I begin counting up my money, once again, hopefully this time it went well.
Five. Ten. Fifteen.
-
I finished counting my money, and getting ready, as well as Jay. In total together we made $510, meaning Jay made $328 and I made $182.
Jay definitely makes more than I do, he makes $146 more, and overtime he could get a raise depending on how good he is. I've also taken off more time to clean the house, such as dusting, cleaning off any dirt, wiping the windows, etc. but I don't want to depend on Jay to make all the money.
We were now on our way to a furniture store close by, who knows what kind of shit they had. It could be good, and it could be absolutely terrible. I guess it's just as long as we have furniture so the house doesn't look so empty anymore.
I remember arranging furniture in Jay and Nya's house, and then I did most of the work with Cole and I's house. Enough about Cole, and Nya. It's time to focus on the house, making the house look nice, that's all that matters to me right now. Until every single room in filled with furniture.
