Chapter 19-The Talent Show

Amaiyah'sPOV

tomorrow is the last day of school and the day after is the talent show and everyone is going crazy. i almost knocked Chresanto out for denying my niece and Kealynn wonders why i don't have respect for him smh. anyways me and Prod got everything together for the talent show so we good. Mrs. Kori put Roc and Prince together because they were the only two that didn't have a partner so I'm interested in what song they're gonna do. right now I'm trying to figure out what I'm gonna wear for the talent show. since I'm singing Promise by Ciara, i gotta look sexy but not to sexy. i went to Kealynn's room and took her red jeans, black platform pumps and Swag neckless and went back to my room. a few moments later Kealynn came in my room. hoping this isn't about me taking her clothes again, i played it cool. "Maiyah should I make Roc sign over his rights?" she asked sitting on my bed

woah there. sign over rights? Roc may have denied the baby but i know he doesnt mean it, shes taking this a little too seriously.

"i don't think making him sign over his rights is the right choice and you know Ray isn't gonna like that idea either" i said.

i used Ray's name cause she never likes when hes mad or disappointed at her so i knew that would get her to think twice. "yeah i guess you right but he really hurt me when he said the baby wasn't his" she said looking down

"Kea many guys are gonna say hurtful things to you that they don't mean. Roc was just mad and jealous and it caused him to say some hurtful things. I'm not saying to forgive but maybe you should think about letting him in the baby's life" i said hugging her

"thanks Maiyah" she said getting out of my gripp and leaving my room

i sighed in relief cause she didn't realized i took her clothes "by the way if you wanted to borrow my clothes you could've just asked" she yelled from her room

Kealynn'sPOV

I'm so pissed off cause Mrs. Kori said I had to do a song with Roc.

*Flashback*

Mrs. Kori called me out of class cause she wanted to talk me. I followed her to the auditorium. "Kealynn can I ask you a favor" she asked I nodded "could you sing a duet with Chresanto"

Whoa hold the fuck up did she said Chresanto as in aka Roc Royal, aww hell naw. "I know you guys are going through some things but you guys have great chemistry and if you guys can use that you can win" she said before i could say anything

"I don't if that's a good idea Mrs. Kori"

She turned to me and said, "Kealynn I've known you for tree years and you've always been the shy one. This year your breaking out of your shell. You have great talent and I can see you having a future with in the music industry. If you sing with Chres I'm sure you will win and even if you don't you will get discovered. Kealynn it's your time to shine."

I saw honesty and fait in her eyes, she honestly meant what she said. I though about for a moment and then gave in "fine ill song with him" I said

She hugged me " okay now get back to class. Oh and by the way congrats on the baby" she said winking at me

Nothing gets past Mrs. Kori. anyways its the last day of school and I'm so happy. its finally summer, no more ratchet people, no more perverted teachers (*cough* Coach Morris) and no more Brianna (i hope). anyways tomorrow is the talent show and everyone is hyped and ready. i was sitting in math class bored as fuck waiting for the last bell of the year to ring. Brianna keeps giving me dirty looks and I'm about to say something if she don't stop. i took out my phone and started playing Temple Run. i could feel her eyes burning into my skull. her glared got distracting and i lost. i couldn't take it anymore, i turned to her and whispered "can i help you"
