“TF’ YOU MEAN YOU NEED BAIL” I yelled into my phone, by now everyone around us was looking at me
“tf’ yall lookin’ at” Amaiyah said and they all turned around
“Girls watch you mouths” my mom scolded us
“Kealynn stop yelling, I’ll explain when you get here, please hurry the guys in here been making passes at us and I’m scared” he said in whisper voice
“I hope yall asses get raped” then I hung up the phone
“What was that about” my mom asked
“Your son and his idiot sidekick got themselves arrested and need us to bail them out” I said gathering our stuff
“What did they do” Amaiyah asked
“He said they’ll tell us when we get there” I said getting up from my seat

Well if you wondering how we ended up here well here’s the story
-Flashback-
After my mom and the girls left I called Tre “they just left ill meet you at the corner in five minutes” I said to him the hung up the phone.
I grabbed my phone and my car keys and headed outside. I got in my car a drove to the corner to meet Tre. When I pulled up is saw him getting out of his car. I got out of my car and walked towards him “this is for Kealynn” he said and I nodded. We were standing in front of a house, Roc’s house.
We walked towards it and I rung the doorbell. I few minutes later I heard footsteps behind the door and then opened reveling Roc. “So you think you can rape my sister, tell everyone she fucked you and then send your boys to go threaten her and not get away with it” I said
Before he could even answer Tre pushed him inside allowing us to walk inside. We closed the door behind us. “I’m sorry I didn’t want to do it” he said, and that got me angry.
I punched him in his face so hard I could’ve sworn I hear his jaw beak. He started coming at me but Tre slammed his head into the glass table causing it to shatter. We kept going at it for another twenty minutes until the cops came busting through the door. They took me first since I was on top of Roc trying to choke him to dead then they took Tre. Roc got carried out on a stretcher and we got put in a police car.
-Flashback Over-
And that how we ended up here. Just then I saw Kealynn, Amaiyah and my mom walked into the police station looking pissed af’. “Hey isn’t it my three favorite girls in the world” I said trying to change the mood.
“Save the bullshit, what happened” Amaiyah said.
Well damn be rude then. I told them the whole story. When I was done then had a blank expression on their face except my mom.
“Señor, por favor ayuda a mi alma antes que matar a este hijo mío hoy (translation: lord please help my soul before I kill this child of mine today), didn’t I tell you to leave that boy alone now look what you got yourself into” she said, “debo dejar sus traseros aquí esta noche (translation: I should leave yall asses here tonight)” she said.
Damn she mad. She only speaks Spanish when she’s really mad. Now I know where Kealynn gets it from.
“Mommy, don’t leave us here tonight please, I don’t wanna lose my manhood” I begged for both me and Tre.
“I’ll go bail you guys out, but I’m not done with you and Tre, I’ll be calling your aunt about this” she said then walked to the front desk.
Tre’s parents left him when he was young so his aunt raised him. His aunt and my mom are like best friends so we grew up together like brothers. My mom bailed us out and the car ride home was so silent it was awkward. When we got home my mom called Tre’s aunt. For the rest of the night it was so silent.
-Next Week-
Kealynn’sPOV
Today I decided I should go see Roc in the hospital. Call me crazy I want to know his reason for doing what he did to me. I did my hygiene routine, got dressed and snuck out the house because I know if anybody saw me they would ask where I’m going and I’m not in the mood to lie. I walked to the hospital since I’m not old enough to drive and there’s no way I was taking a bus. When I got there I went to the front desk “Chresanto August” I asked the front desk lady, it wasn’t the same ratchet one from last week it was a nice one, she looked like she was an intern.
“Room B23” she said
“Thank you”
I walked down the hall looking for B23 then I dumped into someone “oh I’m so sorry” I said
“Nice to see you again Kealynn”, it was doctor McCoy
“Oh hi Dr. McCoy” I said
“Can I help you with something Kealynn?” he asked with I smile
“Um can you help me find room B23? I’m here visiting a…friend” I said
“Sure I can help you”
We walked down the hall in silence then we got to a door that had B23 on it. Dr. McCoy knocked on the door and walked in. I took a deep breath before walking in behind him. “Mr. August you have a visitor”, Dr. McCoy said then leaving the room closing the door behind him.
Roc was on his phone, he didn’t even look up when Mr. McCoy said he had a visitor. “Hi Roc” I said in a calm soft voice, and that got his attention.
He quickly turned his head towards me “Kealynn, wh-what are you doing here” he asked stuttering
“I came to talk”
“Kealynn listen I’m sorr-” I cut him off
“Why did you do it” I asked, scared of the answer
He sigh “I did it because…” he said not even looking at me, trailing off on his words
“Look at me and say it” I said on the verge of tears
“I did because of popularity, because I didn’t want to be a loser of the school. Kealynn I liked, I might even loved you and I regret what I did I wish I could take it all back.” He said
His words just broke my heart “YOU TOOK ADVANTAGE OF ME BECAUSE YOU WANTED TO BE POPULAR?!?!?” I yelled, but now I was crying
“Kealynn I’m sorry” he said in a cracked voice, he was also crying
“No I’m sorry, forever believing you changed” I said then left. I ran home and up to my room.
I can’t believe he did that, I can’t believe that was his reason, even though there was no reason for raping me. It makes me feel like I’m worth nothing, like I’m not worth living. I was angry, hurt and frustrated. My self consciousness and anger was taking over my mind, I couldn’t think straight. My mind was set and it has decided that, I Kealynn Amari Harris was going to kill myself.
