Elena's POVI walked into Stefan's room in the Salvatore Boarding House. I couldn't tell if Ryan was there, since I didn't know where his room was and when I usually came in, he was in the living room. However, he wasn't this time.
"Stefan? Stefan?" I called out looking around his room, "You're standing right behind me, aren't you?"
"Yep," He answered. I turned around. Stefan was shirtless. I pulled him in for a kiss. He snaked his hands around my waist while I wrapped my arms around his neck. After a little while, we pulled away.
"Good morning," He greeted me. I smiled at him.
"I don't want us to be apart anymore. Ever," I admitted. I knew that Stefan was going to bring up my deal with Elijah, but I just wanted to spend time with him. No drama, which included how the oldest vampire in history wanted to sacrifice me.
"Me neither, but--" Stefan started.
"Don't ruin the moment," I stated, still having my arms wrapped around his neck and his hands were placed on my hips. I leaned up and tried to kiss him, but Stefan wasn't kissing me back. He sighed. Then, I realised I couldn't avoid the conversation.
"You're about to ruin the moment, aren't you?" I questioned him.
"I'm totally ruining the moment," Stefan admitted as I took my arms down from around him. He took his hands back aswell.
"I can't just pretend that everything's okay," Stefan told me. I didn't see a problem with anything.
"Katherine's locked away in the tomb," I reminded him. I walked away from him as he sighed again.
"I know, but we still have this pressing little issue, of you being Klaus' sacrifice," Stefan remarked, pulling on a white top, while I pulled out a vile with vervain in it.
"Yes, but Elijah promised to keep me and everyone else safe as long as we play by his rules," I reminded him. I couldn't see the problem. I had a deal with Elijah, that meant everyone came out the ither end, unharmed. Except from Klaus.
"As long as you play by his rules," Stefan pointed out, emphasising the "you".
"Please don't go after Isobel," I asked him. I didn't want to confront my mother, who was a terrible one, by the way.
"Katherine said that Isobel could have some answers and I have a couple questions. That's all," Stefan stated.
Ryan's POV
I heard Elena come in. I was still in my room. My cheeks were probably red from the tears that were shed since Stefan was let out of the tomb. I kept thinking about how I let Katherine down. I couldn't help it. She was a close friend and I couldn't help her. Just like I couldn't help them.
I looked at the picture with a frown. I was slowly breaking down. Everyday, something or someone reminded me of what happened. It could be something as small as someone having a name that started with the same first letter as one of their names. It was safe to say, I was back in the mourning faze. But then again, I couldn't remember when I left.
...
I was informed about Elena's deal with Elijah. It was probably the decision I would've made. Except, I'd probably put in a couple thousand in there, for my troubles. Then again, I wasn't Elena.
Over the years, Katherine had built up a tolerance to vervain. Now, Stefan was trying to do the same. I could hearhim coughing I'm pain from down the hall, in my room. I was never going to do that. It meant feeling immense pain every day for however long I lived for. That was a terrible idea, if you'd ask me.
