Elijah's POV

"Tonight is a full moon. We should assume that Klaus is prepared to break the curse," I told Stefan and Elena. They were both sitting on couches in the living room. I was standing up before them.

"Elena said the sun and the moon curse is fake. That it's actually just a curse placed on Klaus," Stefan stated, trying to see if the information was true.

"Klaus is a vampire born of werewolf bloodline. The curse has kept his werewolf aspect from manifesting. But if he breaks it, he'll be a true hybrid," I explained in further detail. Stefan glanced at Elena, who then nodded her head. At that moment, Damon came into the room.

"Then why are we letting him break the curse? We can kill him today. With Bonnie," Damon asked me, mainly looking at Stefan and occasionally Elena.

"Damon," Stefan started, clearly not wanting to get into a fight about what they should do or risk Bonnie dying.

"No. Bonnie can't use that much power without dying," Elena reminded Damon from her seat.

"I'll write her a great eulogy," Damon claimed.

"It's not an option, Damon," Elena denied and Damon slightly glared at her.

"All right, how do we break this curse?" Stefan asked me, getting back to the matter on hand.

"The ritual itself is very straightforward. The ingredients, so to speak, you already know," I started, walking towards the window, past Damon.

"The moonstone," Stefan stated.

"A witch will channel the power of the full moon to release the spell that's bound within the stone. After that, Klaus, being both werewolf and vampire will sacrifice one of each," I continued. The three others in the room suddenly looked a bit worried. Then I realised. Ryan was a vampire.

"And where do I fit into it?" Elena questioned me, clearly pitting her worries about Ryan to the side, for now.

"The final part of the ritual. Klaus must drink the blood of the dopplegänger...to the point of your death," I informed them. They all shared a look and Stefan grabbed Elena's hand, comfortingly.

"And that's when you come in," Elena pointed out. I opened the box that I had taken with me.

"This is an elixir that I acquired some 500 years ago for Katerina. It possesses mystical properties of resurrection," I stated, taking a bottle from the box, which had the elixir inside.

"So I'll be dead?" Elena inquired, looking a bit doubtful.

"And then you won't," I assured her. However, I didn't know if it would work or not.

"That's your plan? A magical witch potion with no expiration date? You wanna come back to life, what about John's ring?" Damon interrogated, clearly thinking the elixir wouldn't work.

"Those rings only work on humans. A doppelgänger is a supernatural occurance. Odds are the ring won't work," I pointed out.

"I'll take those odds over your elixir. What if it doesn't work, Elena?" Damon asked.

"Then I guess I'll just be dead," Elena stated, as if she didn't just admit there was a chance she wasn't going to get out of it alive. Damon exited the room, clearly annoyed at how easily Elena was giving in.

"Do we know if Klaus has everything he needs to do this? Does he have a werewolf?" Elena questioned me, clearly thinking about Ryan.

"Klaus has been waiting to break this curse for over 1000 years. If he doesn't already have a werewolf, my guess is by tonight, he will," I admitted.
