Today was the day, Carrington knew she had to meet everyone. She's sat in the S.H.I.E.L.D headquarters, and heard about them for this long. She got dressed and headed downstairs, and everyone stared.

"Uh, hey," she said shyly.

"Come sit, little one," said the big blonde.

"That would be Thor," Mackenzie laughed, "Her name is Carrington."

"Ah, Lady Carrington, please, take a seat," Thor's voice bellowed.

Someone wrapped their arms around Carrington, it wasn't Mackenzie's touch. Carrington grabbed their hands and threw them over her shoulder and onto their back. She looked down at the person. Brown hair, brown eyes, brown goatee.

"Hey kiddo," the man muffled out in pain.

"S-Sorry," Carrington stuttered helping him back to his feet.

He brushed himself off, and he looked at Carrington, and smiled.

"So sneaking out of the headquarters, huh?" Tony said eyeing Carrington.

Carrington's eyes darted over to Mackenzie, her face went flush.

"I-uh... I had to tell him, there was just a random person sleeping on the couch," Mackenzie laughed nervously.

"Name's Tony Stark, you probably know me by now," he said cocky.

Another blonde man came walking out from the corner. Carrington looked at him, she's seen him somewhere before, she just couldn't put her finger on it.

"Are you-"

"Steve Rogers, ma'am," Steve said holding his hand out.

"Carrington," she replied, taking his hand.

"I uh, I'm Peter," said the jumpy teenager.

"Yeah, Peter Parker," Carrington said.

His face lit up, and he smiled.

Oh my God, she knows me! Peter thought to himself.

"Do you have any powers, kid?" Tony asked.

"Uh yeah, I do," Carrington said.

She hasn't used her powers since the accident, and Mackenzie knew it was a tough subject for her. She could tell Carrington was uncomfortable.

"Hey, I have someone you have to meet," Mackenzie chipped in.

Carrington walked over to her friend, and they walked down the hall. Carrington stayed quiet, it struck a nerve in her and she didn't want to talk about it.

"Hey, you know you can talk to me-"

"I don't want to talk about it," Carrington interrupted.

"Tony didn't mean anything by it, Carrington. He just wanted to know."

"I don't want to talk about it, Mackenzie."

They stopped in front of a door, and Mackenzie opened it, letting Carrington go in first. Sitting on the bed was a man reading a book; black hair, blue eyes.

"You must be Loki," Carrington said.

He looked up from his book and looked at Mackenzie. He got off the bed, and walked towards Carrington.

"You must be little Carrington?" Loki cooed.

Carrington didn't say anything, she just looked at the man. Mackenzie looked at both of them, confused.
