Searching Asgard high and low, Jackson was nowhere to be found. Mackenzie and Loki went one direction, while Carrington and Thor took the other. Mackenzie was looking behind every nook and cranny of Asgard's castle, turning around she looked at Loki.
"What took you so long? I had to have Thor go retrieve you like a dog because no one in Asgard could find you."
"Well, my sweet pet, I was in our normal spot," Loki smiled.
"No, you weren't, that was the first place I checked."
Loki got quiet and kept searching, Mackenzie stopped, eyeing the father of her child.
"Loki, stop with the games. What's going on?"
"My queen, now is not the time to argue."
"Loki, where the hell were you?"
"I was on Midgard, talking with your friend," he sighed.
"Carrington?"
"Yes."
"But why? You don't even like her."
"Not liking her is an understatement," Loki mumbled, "Besides the point, I was asking her for your hand in marriage."
"That's something you're supposed to ask the parent of the person, Loki. Why were you really on Earth?"
"I was talking with Carrington about some things."
Mackenzie huffed, a few moments later, Carrington and Thor appeared. He let go of her and she almost fell.
"Never let me ride with space cadet again," she said brushing herself off.
Thor laughed, flipping Mjolnir in the air and looking at Loki.
"Did you find anything?" Loki asked.
Carrington didn't even bat an eye towards Loki, she looked at Mackenzie.
"You guys find anything?"
"No, we didn't," Mackenzie sighed.
Carrington had an idea. Mackenzie looked over at her friend, knowing she had an idea.
"What're you thinking Barnes?" she laughed.
Carrington snapped out of it and was getting flustered. Carrington Barnes?
"Okay first of all, don't do that. We're just dating."
"You're dating?!"
"You know damn well you saw that coming," Carrington laughed.
The girls looked around, Carrington turned her head and glared at Loki.
"Where's Jackson's room?"
Loki walked out, Mackenzie, Carrington and Thor followed behind him. Opening Jackson's door, Carrington was hit with a cool breeze, noticing the window was still open. She pushed past Loki and Mackenzie, searching the room. Walking out of the room and walking back in she noticed a temperature change. Walking over towards the crib, she noticed ice on the side of the crib.
"Odinson," Carrington said confused.
"Yes?" Both Thor and Loki replied.
Damning herself knowing there was two of them in the room, she didn't want to talk to Loki. She knew it was a life-or-death situation if her mind was going the right direction.
"Loki," Carrington said turning back towards him.
"What do you want?" he huffed.
Mackenzie smacked his chest, he shook his head and looked up at Carrington.
