Unfortunate Souls

The Rescue

Mackenzie, Loki and Thor took off in different directions. They were all getting surrounded. All of a sudden, Tony showed up in his Iron Man suit, along with Nat, Clint, Steve and Bruce. Her dad was already turned into the Hulk. Nat ran up to her daughter and pushed her down. Something exploded right in front of them. 

"Keep your head down, you're in big trouble. I need someone to take out that base."

Hulk ran over and smashed it, Nat thanked him over the her ear piece. 

"Where's Thor and Loki?" Mackenzie asked.

"Safe, they're with the others." Nat said.

"Shield is down on the Hydra base, everyone move in." Tony said.

Nat gave Mackenzie an ear piece, so she could hear what was going on. 

"Mackenzie, I'm going to need you to go into the base and look for Carrington," Tony said.

"Oh no she's not," Nat said, "She's-"

"Mom, please, let me go in and get her."

"Be safe..." Nat said hugging her daughter.

Mackenzie found Loki, and had him teleport both her and him into the Hydra base. They got in and there was no soldiers around. 

"Tony, we're in," Mackenzie whispered.

Mackenzie kept walking down the base, her friend was no where in sight. 

"We're on our way in, Mackenzie." Tony and Nat said.

They all met up. Tony flew right in and landed near Mackenzie. 

"J.A.R.V.I.S see any heat sources?" Tony asked.

"As a matter of fact, I do sir. down the hall and to the right."

Tony flew down the hall, Mackenzie ran after him. When they got into the room, there she was. Beaten, bloodied, yet still conscious. Tony ran over to her and turned her over so she was facing him. 

"Hey Tony," Carrington said softly with a small smile.

"Hey kiddo, hey, listen to me okay? It's gonna be okay, we're gonna get you out of here."

Carrington let out a little laugh and moved her hand, she was shot.

"You don't need to lie anymore, I know."

Tony looked down at the shot and shook his head, 

"No, no, you're gonna be okay. I promise. I'm going to get you out of here sweetheart."

"We have Carrington," Mackenzie said.

Bucky turned the corner, he had a shocked look on his face. He ran up to Tony and Mackenzie.

"H-Hey doll," Bucky said, tears running down his face.

"Hey Sergeant Barnes." Carrington wrapped her arms around Bucky's neck. 

"Hey doll, don't worry, we're gonna get you out of here alright? They can't hurt you anymore."

"It's okay-" Carrington went unconscious. 

"We got to get out of here Tony, she's out."

Tony grabbed a hold of Carrington, Loki ran up to Mackenzie and Bucky. He transported them back to the Quinjet. Tony laid Carrington down in the back next to Clint. He was shot and Natasha was sitting in there with him. 

"I-Is that Carrington?" Natasha asked.

"Yeah, she's here. She's not doing good. She was shot. We got into the room she was at and she was on the floor beaten and bloody."
