Remember to love yourself before attempting to love an individual who only adores you for the flowers that grow along your skin.
Remember that you will always entertain the idea of someone else.
Remember that it's okay, because love is not supposed to solely be based on the eyes you meet that stop your heart from beating, it is found in the palms of those who are worthy enough to see yours.
Remember that you are more than who or what undresses you, more than the fingerprints of an individual who could not hold you close enough to keep you.
Remember that when you wake up, the lover you've put on a pedestal does not own the key to who you are, they are there to fill the void of time, not to fill the void of brokenness.
Remember to wash yourself clean of what holds you down, start writing fantasies about fiction, become the painter, it is easy to find words that match somebody else, those are for you.
Remember, always remember, that the sun will still rise, and you will find the pieces to put your own self back together, not the shoulder you lean on that cannot collect your sadness.
