Thoughts on the Lion Guard Fanbase

What happened to the KionxFuli fanbase?

Allow me to tell you a story dear reader, a story of trust, betrayal, and the maturity of a spoiled 14 year old kid when he is told he has no talent.

The story begins with the release of Return of the Roar, and because this fanbase was so mature and intelligent, there were only 3 ships that were created that WEREN'T pedophilic, involved incest, or weren't outright stupid. Those three ships were KionxZuri, KionxTiffu, and KionxFuli. Now given that Kion was the lead male character and Fuli was the lead female on the show, and that we are so original when it comes to shipping, the fanbase automatically accepted KionxFuli as the show's main ship.

As the show progressed, more and more ships spawned (some at the expense of my mental health) but the one constant was KionxFuli, with KionxJasiri at a close second. Things were looking bright, and a majority of people were just waiting for the ship to become canon.

However things took a turn when the first half of season 3 was released, Kion and Fuli's chemistry and Dynamic drastically changed and seemed like they had an actual brother and sister dynamic, Ford Riley himself had to clarify that Kion didn't like Fuli, and Azaad was introduced. But the fanbase being the big-brained people that they are went," Nah it'll be fineI." But it wasn't fine, and some people knew it.

You see back in 2018 a new character for season 3 got leaked, and that character was Rani. As a result a small clan of people chose the smart decision and shipped her with Kion. However at the time this ship[ was small and people didn't think it would catch on, and instead bet that kion xFuli would be the one to become canon.

Then the second half of season 3 was released and the reactions were mixed. The KionxTiffu, KionxZuri shippers for the most part supported KionxRani, since their ship itself was kinda the underdog in the show's whole run, so it was clear as to why they would support KionxRani, since that ship was in a similar situation to their own ship. There wasn't much of a response from the KionxJasiri people since most of them have jumped over to JanjaxJasiri, but the ones that remained also supported and tolerated KionxRani, and the same could be said about the KionxVitani shippers.

However, things were different for the KionxFuli people. On one hand there was the half that acted like mature and logical human beings, and accepted KionxRani as canon, and some even began to ship Kion and Rani themselves. But on the other hand you had the way more vocal half, the immature half. These people handled loss like a rich spoiled brat off of TicTok. Their behavior made it clear that they had no idea how to deal with the concept of being wrong and loosing. They complained about Rani, often making bullshit arguments against her. They shamed anyone who liked KionxRani, they would take moments when Kion and Rani were together, removed Rani, and replaced her with Fuli. And this was just the tip of the immature iceberg. When it came to FanFics, this half of the KionxFuli fanbase have created something known as a KLRFF story.

These stories were stupid and were as original as a live action Disney remake. They all followed a very specific formula that would go something like this.

1: Kion realizes that NOW he doesn't like Rani

2: Kion and Fuli act like total assholes and go behind Rani's back

3: Rani finds out and gets mad

4: Rani is either Evil or is just LOGICALLY upset that her mate cheated on her and they are exiled.

5: Depending on which option in number 4 is chosen, Rani either looses her right as queen for some bullshit reason or the guard returns to the Pridelands

6: I show up to point out how unoriginal these stories are

Seriously look up any KLRFF story and I promise you, chances are that the story follows the same formula. And the thing is that the writers act like they are special and they made something original whenever I point out their bullshit.

Back on subject, on the RARE occasions where the formula is modified and shit, there was this one story where the author basically made themselves a literal god in their story, and they tried to get everyone to help them get Kion and Fuli together because of some "reasons"

But yeah that story does exist, I cant find it but I know it's out there.

This whole situation in general just shows how mature this fanbase is, aside from the fact that a decent amount of people here get turned on from every minor in the show but that's a story for another time.

But the moral of the story is GET OVER IT, this behavior is pathetic and immature. Yeah it sucks that you lost but that's part of life, you don't have to bitch about it. There is a reason why every other mainstream Kion shipping fanbase has reacted better than you. Im pretty sure some people shipped KionxRani just to spite you, and clearly it's working since it's been more than a year and you guys are still acting worse than a TikToker learning about begin responsible adult.

And to the KionxFuli fans that actually acted mature and accepted the way things are, im sorry that these dickheads ruined things for you. I used to ship KionxFuli myself, and I still do but not as much so I can understand how these people might have ruined the experience for you.
