How not to review The Lion Guard.

In this world where people have a different input on pieces of media, from people trying to justify dumpster fires that have no purpose existing, to people who overthink something that is just good and nothing more. Well fear not because in my experience within this dumpster fire that is TLK fanbase, I will show you what NOT to do when qritiqing The Lion Guard.
Now you see a common practice when it comes to negative reviews regarding TLG is the continuity errors. And yeah I can aknowledge that some do exist (such as Ford basically forgetting the existence of Simba's pride) but the main issue here is that sometimes people poke holes where there shouldnt be. Kinda like my uncle before somebody spotted him hiding behind the park bushes. Anyways an example of this was when this one person said that because the Guard wasnt refferenced in TLK 2 that it was a continuity error. I told him that there was no need for the characters In-universe to mention where the Guard was since they already knew, and either way they weren't relevant to the plot. And later he admitted he was going off of the few episodes he barley remembered. Basically the dude had no clue what he was talking about and wasted everyones time. So the lesson here is think logically when it comes to continuity errors. If all you have to do to explain something is by a quick explenation, then maybe that error isnt really worth your time.

On to the other side of the spectrum, we have the people who disregard everything such as plot and logic and instead replace it with T H E M E S. You see a while back I joined this discord server (then was promply kicked for sharing an opposing opinion I kid you not). But anyways there was this person who looked into TLG like way too much. Like seriously every time I slightly citisized the show he would go into a speech about how TLG apparently has perfectly executed the themes they presented in the show. I mean seriously I like TLG but this guy would INSTANTLY be ready to mention themes. Because apparently he "took a class where they studied themes and character development." Good for you I also took 9th grade english. Point is that relying on stuff such as themes for your argument will provide a weak foundation for said argument, especially since themes are subjective. I mean on one hand a person might say that Bunga resembles the modern day polictitian and how carless they are with the people they were trusted to protect........or maybe he is just the comedic relief. But you see its subjective.
Another example of this guy overthinking the show was when he said that Kion and Fuli clearly had a thing for each other. And a normal person would cite a cute moment here and there. But instead he said "they way they looked at each other." Yeah I kid you not, apparently a few frames is enough for him to assume those two had a romantic connection. Lets do some math here. TLG is animated around 30 frames per second. With the average episode being around 24 minuets (44 minuets for the specials). So we multiply 30 with 60, then with the 24 minuet runntime by the number of normal sized episodes which is 72. Then we add that to 30 times 60 times 44 times 3 which should get us around 3,348,000 frames in total. So out of said 3,348,000 frames that the only moment this guys could cite as a romantic indicator was just like a few seconds. Yeah this guy has an overthinking problem

Heres the formula in case you were sondering: (((30fps*60)*24)*72)+(((30fps*60)*44)*3)

I think the lesson for today is, dont overthink everything, these two people made that mistake and well, here I am warning people not to do this.
But anyways thanks for coming to my ted talk, next week we will be talking about how this fanbase has an issue with critisism, ESPECIALLY with the shpping side of things.
Anyways that's all I got for today, go away now.
