Please like and comment on what you think about the story and where you want it to go. I am writing this book on the fly. Hope you like it. Thank you and I hope you like this chapter. And without further delay, here's chapter 13.
The day finally dawned. It was officially the first day of winter break. I took my phone and stared at it. It was 5 in the morning. I was super excited. I had read online that going for a walk helped lose weight fast too, so that was my plan. I got out of bed and went to the washroom. The day before while Stacy and Anna were shopping for Christmas gifts for her family, I excused myself saying I needed to use the washroom and I snuck into the sporting shop and got myself yoga pants and sports bras. I had asked my dad for money to buy some clothes that day so, I was able to afford them.
After getting dressed I grabbed my bottle of water, wrote a note to my parents saying where I was, and left the house. I had made a playlist too, so I popped on my earphones started my walk.
I honestly didn't know where I was going. Liam always told me to keep a route, so that I will know how far I have walked and it is easier that way to push myself to walk further and to challenge myself.
About 5 minutes later I realized where I was going. I was heading towards 'The coffee shop'. That's not that far, I thought.
It's too early to get a coffee, they won't be open.
Boy was I wrong. You see, the coffee shop was 15 minutes away. And by 15 minutes I mean, driving. Not walking. DRIVING. It takes 15 mins to drive there. When I reached the shop I was exhausted. I had walked for almost an hour. But the good thing about it was, the shop was now open. Which meant I could get something to eat. If I had brought my purse. Damn it!
I am just going to go inside and sit down for a bit. It will be empty and I'll be gone before anyone notices.
I walked inside and as expected it was empty.
"Hey," someone said right behind me.
I jumped and spun around to find none other than Jacob.
Oh, great. I thought
"Hey," I replied
I know the last we had a conversation it was quite heated, and I still was mad at him for agreeing with Sophia. But I didn't want him to see me like this. I try my best not to care but I do. I really do. And right now I was sweaty, my t-shirt was sticking to my sweaty body. Honestly not cute, not cute at all. Especially when he thinks you are fat.
"A walk, I see?"
"Yeah, I kinda underestimated the distance"
"Really? thought you could be here within minutes? "
"Yeah" I muttered out of breath
"Ahh, I know the feeling. Did that myself."
"Really? Anyways I thought you would have gone skiing"
"Yeah. I'm leaving in a couple of hours."
"hmm" I reply while collapsing to the nearest chair and gulping the remaining water from my bottle. This is embarrassing, I thought.
"Sasha, about that day. I really don't agree with Sophia -"
"Oh yeah. Don't worry about it. No hard feelings. Forget it. Also, I am sorry about, you know storming off that day."
"Ahh, it's fine."
"Good morning!" A cheerful-looking man in his mid-fifties appeared from the back of the shop.
"Good morning, Mr.Hutchinson."
"Sasha, what are you doing here so early in the morning?"
"Decided go to on a walk. "
"Like one of those spontaneous rage walks?"
"Yeah, something like that."
"Axel does that too."
"Where is Axel?"
"He is sleeping. Told me he is going to sleep until noon today."
"Sounds very much like Axel."
"Yes, yes. And how may I help you, young man?"
"I would like a cappuccino and a donut to go, please"
"That would be 4 dollars and 68 cents."
"Do you want anything, Sasha?" Mr. Hutchinson asked handing the coffee and donut to Jacob.
"No, I think I'm good, Mr.Hutchinson. I didn't bring my purse "
"Hey Sasha, just pick a coffee. I'll pay."
"No, no, no. Really it's fine"
"I insist. It's fine."
"Fine, I'll have a cappuccino too."
"Another one coming right up"
"Hey, I could drop you off at home if you want?"
"Umm, ok. I usually would say no, Cuz I don't want to trouble you but I need to get home. I need to go to the airport, got to pick my brother up."
"Here's your cappuccino. And tell Liam I said hi"
"Sure will do. Thank you, Mr.Hutchinson."
