The weekend comes and goes and I didn't leave my room unless it was to eat or to use the washroom. Over the weekend Jacob tried reaching out to me using three different numbers because I kept blocking him until I stopped answering calls from anyone who wasn't Anna, Stacy, Mum, or Dad. I was dreading going to school on Monday. I tried making excuses to not go, but mum and dad were not buying them. Mum said it was mandatory for me to go because many of our teachers were giving tests as it was the final week before our three-week Christmas holidays.
Finally, as Monday dawned, I lay in bed staring at the ceiling, but unlike the other days, I wasn't thinking or planning or worrying. I just lay there like a potato sack. Or like Sophia pointed out a sack of fat. My mum walked in yelling at me to wake up. I pulled myself out of bed and dragged myself to the washroom. I wore my infamous black jeans and long baggy hoodie which was almost until my knees. I tied my hair into a ponytail, put on some sneakers, grabbed my backpack, and went downstairs. As I packed my lunch and my bottle of water I heard Anna honk.
Our ride to school was quiet, unlike other days. Anna and Stacy tried to talk to me but I sat quietly in the backseat of the car. We grabbed our coffee and headed straight to school instead of sitting and catching up.
As I got down from the car I pulled my hoodie over my head as there were a few students who were looking at me sneering.
Anna held my hand and whispered to me, "If I see Sophia I am going to kill her"
"Just calm down Anna."
Walking down the corridors was painful, more people were staring at me and whispering to each other. I quickly walk towards my locker and stood in front of it shocked. My locker was covered in sticky notes. Some of the notes read, "Fat Sasha", "Boyfriend stealer", "liar", "clout chaser" and "sack of fat".
I tried my best not to read them because I knew that if read them I would start crying. So, I open my locker to get my books but instead as I opened the locker a sack tilted to the side potatoes rolled out of the locker. "Sasha sack of potatoes" came a voice from the end of the corridor. I immediately recognized it. It was none other than Felicity. The whole corridor burst out laughing as if it was the funniest thing in the world.
Stacy grabbed my hand and dragged me to class while Anna took my books from the locker.
