Silence. There was no noise apart from the people celebrating outside. Yeona let go off Kiyeon, walking towards the statue, bringing out any piece of courage she has left. She stared at her body on the Hera and tears rolled down again. Her eyes shifted, there was no more sadness but hope.
Seola's hand was moving slightly trying to balance her body.
"Min Seola!" Yeona shouted getting Kiyeon's attention. He rushed over placing his hands on his head as a frequent sign of stress.
"Call Eomma, we have to go to the hospital, she isn't dead yet," Yeona said with hope. Grabbing his phone, he called his mother, his voice still cracking from his breakdown.
Within seconds, Chaeyeong arrived with shock plastered onto her face. Kiyeon ran behind the lounge arriving with a ladder. He quickly climbed up, embracing Seola's fragile body.
"Eomma go behind the Palace and start the car, we are coming," Yeona pushed her away gently, running towards the car park. Kiyeon climbed down the ladder as gently as he could, holding her head with his hand to prevent any more injuries than already. As happy as he is for some hope still left, he doesn't understand how she will survive this. Seola fell from the 47th floor, ripping the stained glass and landing on a hard statue. Or did she.
Yeona ran after her brother arriving at the car park ready to set off. Kiyeon sat in the back while Yeona sat in the front with her mother comforting her. If she didn't let her go by herself in an unknown place, none of this would've happened. What was she thinking?
"Seola yah, please, be strong, for you, for us," Kiyeon quietly begged as he rubbed his hand on her tiny hand. She could not open her eyes, but she heard and felt every word he said. She took all the power in her body to tighten her hand around his as a sign that she isn't dead just yet. Seola didn't want to die, not anymore. She didn't see the point. Her mother left her for adoption which she later found it was Sim Suryeon, her adoptive family didn't treat her right and it was all for bone marrow, and her brother who she loved was stuck in the States. But now, she finally has a finally that cares for her deeply. Chaeyeong has treated her as her own child, letting her stay even without permission. Yeona who cares so much about her that she was willing to die instead of her. Kiyeon who loves her to the point of pain. Seeing her on the statue as like his father's incident. He wasn't going to let it happen again, especially to Seola.
They arrived at the hospital, Chaeyeong rushing out to get a doctor. Kiyeon rushed out, his head getting dizzy and spinning.
"I will take it from here, sit down Kiyeon ah," Yeona pleaded taking Seola and letting the doctors do their jobs. Kiyeon shook his head, eyes not leaving Seola as she was taken away to the emergency room.
There was no new for the last hour. Chaeyeong was sitting outside the surgery room while her children were slowly going insane. Yeona was nearly gone crazy from all of this. Her eyes were were forced to be open, her head killing her like crazy and her body not even able to sit properly. Kiyeon could not even sit in the waiting room, he sat on the floor outside the door waiting for any news at this point. He couldn't see a single thing and had no awareness of what was going on around him. They were going mad from blaming themselves and letting her get hurt to this extent.
After hours of surgery and healing, the lead doctor exited. Chaeyeong approached the doctor begging for some answers.
"Min Seola is being taken to the private hospital room with security, right now she is sleeping in a coma," The doctor calmly said as Kiyeon and Yeona dropped to the ground together. They were relieved that she wasn't dead.
"Ms Kim, can I just borrow you for a second," The doctor asked taking their mother away from the siblings.
"Min Seola is not dead but we do not even know when she will wake up, and even if she does, we cannot guarantee that she will have all her memories," He said looking through his medical notes.
"I know I figured that was what was going to happen from the moment she entered, but I have hope," Chaeyeong said smiling and turning her head to Kiyeon and Yeona.
"If she doesn't want to live for herself, I know she will try her best to wake up for them," She said thanking the doctor and heading to her children, bringing them to Seola's room. They were unable to walk any further and immediately collapsed on the chairs in Seola's room. If she ever wakes up, the Hera Palace will go wild.
Kiyeon didn't know what to do with himself.
"Oppa, lets just sleep, theres nothing else we can do, I am too tired for this, I don't want this," Yeona barely breathed out eyeing her brother. He nodded his head, looking at his mother who left the room to get some food and drinks for late. Kiyeon pulled his chair with all the energy he has left and sat next to Kiyeon, Yeona doing the same.
They took a seat opposite each other both looking at the broken girl in front of them. Kiyeon grabbed her dainty hand once again and laid his head onto the bed sheet while holding her hand. Yeona looked over at him and smiled. She really hopes that Seola knows how much he likes her, maybe even loves but doesn't want to admit it yet. Yeona caressed Seola's head smiling through her glossy eyes.
"You did so well, for every one, you lived your hardest yet no one wants to appreciate that, I am so sorry you don't even understand," Yeona said choking on her words as she spoke.
"I hope when you wake up, there will be no more thorns in your way, just roses, I will make sure of that and Kiyeon will plant a flower road for you to walk on while holding your hand, I promise you," Yeona said holding Seola's hand up linking her pinkies with hers. Even though Seola doesn't know what she is doing or saying, it was enough for Yeona to be determined to keep it this time.
The promise of keeping her safe didn't end well, sometimes she thinks was it because they didn't do a pinkie promise? Yeona laughed to herself, resting her head onto the bed sheeted, mirroring her brother.
The next few days were only filled with Yeona and Kiyeon sitting beside Seola 24/7, afraid that if they leave, she will be in danger again. Chaeyeong going in and out of doctors office and feeding her children so they don't starve. Days were the same, which meant there was still no sign of Seola waking up well again.
The Hera Statue towered every resident at the Palace. Cheon Seojin, Ju Dantae, Lee Kyujin, Ha Yuncheol, Go Sangah, Kang Mari. The Hera Statue was left red from Seola's blood but returned as new as ever.
People will continue to do crimes until they are caught, and some continue even then. The Hera Statue was filled with a crime but was wiped clean after a few washes. How easy will it be to fully clean your crimes? Will they get away with it?
-Next chapter will be an introduction of a new character maybe even two to see how it plays out! As I said the story will not be a replica with just new characters, I will try and create it as if it is my own so some events that happen in the Penthouse may not happen here or the scenes are out of order but just know it was my choice and what seemed fitting to this story. Also just know that I never planned for Seola to fully "die" as it is just unfair to her character so her 'death' in the penthouse does not happen in this story and it is different. Anyway hope you enjoy this story (Rona and Yunhee will be appearing soon) Welcome to Part 2!-
