Days were the same. Kiyeon and Seola have not been in school since the incident with Seola, and they won't budge until they have confirmed she is awake or not. At the Hera Palace, no one knows whose body fell on the statue or if a body actually did fall, but they erased all the evidence anyway.
The Jung siblings were eating an sandwich that their mother bought for them earlier. Kiyeon looked at his food and placed it back into the wrapping and tossed it on the table next to him. Yeona stared at him frustrated at her brother.
"Kiyeon ah please eat, you haven't eaten properly for days, do you want to die?" Yeona raised her voice at him making him flinch from his seat.
"Can I?" Kiyeon asked trying to laugh it off, but it only resulted into getting punches from his sister.
At that moment, Chaeyeong and the lead doctor came in, checking Seola's vitals before grabbing a needle and injecting her. Yeona's mother stood next to the doctor biting her nails, looking down at the child. Kiyeon stood up next to his mother, not knowing what is happening around him.
"Usually we wait longer before we do this but we can't wait any longer. When this needle injects, we have a few hours until she awakes," Chaeyeong explained it to her son as if she read his mind.
"What if she can't wake up with this?" Kiyeon questioned, his sight not leaving Seola's closed eyes. Chaeyeon paused for a minute before placing her arm around Kiyeon's shoulder smiling.
"It won't happen son," She said landing a kiss on his head. Kiyeon breathed out, reaching his hand for Seola's praying in his head.
"In her condition, if things go to plan, she should wake up in three hours," The doctor stated, taking Chaeyeong outside, leaving the kids inside the room. Seola's heartbeat has gotten better and it has gotten faster rather than barely beating, her vitals look way better from their perspective. Yeona smiled at Seola, grabbing her watch to check the time.
8 AM. At 11 AM she should be awake.
There was only a few minutes until the time and everything so far was going stable. Kiyeon called his mother to come in and wait with them. Yeona's heartbeat was going insane from the stress and lack of sleep. Kiyeon kept hold of Seola's hand throughout this journey, not even thinking about letting go.
Birds were tweeting outside, the autumn leaves were falling and flowers have blossomed. The sun was out, radiating over the citizens and the hospital. Korea hasn't seen this nice of a day in a while.
All three pairs of eyes widened at the scene before them. Joy and happiness was filled. Tears of joy ran down Kiyeon and Yeona's face while Chaeyeong breathed out in relief.
Seola was alive. There was still no answers on how she survived despite falling of the 43rd floor.
Seola scanned through the room and sat up looking at the three people in front of her.
"Who are you?" Seola said making the siblings stop their excitement and look concern and sorrow. Chaeyeong called the doctor and did a final check.
"She hasn't lost all her memories but there are gaps. There aren't too many so it shouldn't take too long, she might even get them all by the end of the day," The doctor said happily looking at the family. He shook her hand and thanked her under his breath.
"I am sorry, but seriously, who are you?" Seola felt bad she couldn't remember the people who are mostly concerned for her. Kiyeon and Yeona sat down next to her not knowing where to start.
"Maybe if you tell me your name I can maybe remember," Seola pleaded desperate to find out everything she can't remember. Yeona giggled and held her hand smiling.
"Jung Yeona, we met when you tutored us as Anna Lee then I met the real you as Min Seola, remember?" Yeona said trying to remain calm to not scare her away.
"I remember tutoring and auditioning and Cheongah Arts... Ah!" Seola said holding Yeona's hand tighter and eyes widening while tears coming out.
"The car, the fire," She muttered and Yeona stopped her there. She didn't want Seola to only focus on the bad things.
"From now on we will try and build your memory piece by piece alright," Yeona said smiling and letting Kiyeon speak.
"There was someone else who got badly injured at the fire, but I don't know who it was, Yeona yah," Seola said completely forgetting that Kiyeon is sat next to her. She turned her head towards him waiting for him to speak. Her heartbeat got faster the moment she looked into his eyes.
"My name is Jung Kiyeon," He said voice low trying not to crack. After all this time, if she can't remember him, every memory of them will be gone from Seola.
"Kiyeon..." Her mind was boggled with memories but none of them fit together but one thing was for sure, when he said his name, her heartbeat got even more faster than it already was. She tried her hardest to remember anything from her messed up memories.
"Burns, hospital, hands," Seola whispered to herself but was loud enough for them to hear. Kiyeon nodded to her words and placed his hands gently across hers, trying to not make her uncomfortable. To Seola it was a familiar touch but does not know what the relation was to him and her.
Kiyeon nodded and smiled to Seola turning away.
"Thats my brother if you haven't guessed, he played a big role in your life I would say," Yeona stated grinning at Seola who looked apologetically at him.
Yeona got her and Seola's phone showing their number.
"When you leave this place and we go back home, call this number and this one, it will be me or Kiyeon, do not accept any others," Yeona showed the number and saved them to her phone. Seola smiled to her, thanking her in her mind. All she knows from her past was that she was an orphan so for her right it is still strange that there are people who are considered family caring for her.
"Add eomma as well," Kiyeon pointed out.
"Oh yes how can I forget," Yeona said to herself adding in her mothers phone number. She took a moment outside to see where her mother went which left Kiyeon and Seola by themselves. They didn't speak for a while.
"I know you had a major impact on me, I'm sorry I can't pinpoint what you are to me," Seola said looking down to her hands. Kiyeon let out a sigh but smiled back at Seola.
"I would tell you everything but I want you to find your own memories not just someone telling you it," Kiyeon said, his eyes moving focus to her hands.
"As time goes on, I will show you who I am, I will help build your memory puzzle," Kiyeon voiced, mind wandering every where else, all the memories he built in such a short amount of time with her.
It could not go by how low Kiyeon was feeling, if she could, she would just magically remember everything so the boy in front of her would stop being sad. She saw a boy who wanted to protect but fight, she saw someone who can show her love and care, she saw someone that had too much love to give to everyone but himself. And that was all in just one glance, imagine everything else that is inside. Seola got her hands and placed them onto Kiyeon's staring into his eyes.
"Show me, Jung Kiyeon," She spelt out his name making sure she won't forget it. Yeona was watching everything go by, happy that Seola is willing to try and remember everything, even if it isn't pretty.
Chaeyeong stood from afar and watched as Yeona leaned into the window trying to steal a view.
"My daughter is cute right, Jung Taewon?" Chaeyeong spoke looking at the man next to her.
"Indeed," He smiled at the girl, tears threatening to pour out.
Are you happy hyung? his mind spoke, looking up at the sky.
