Chapter 4: Goodbye

Dalawang linggo na ako rito sa Laguna at next week aalis na ako babalik na sa Pangasinan sa pagkat kailangan na magpasa ng mga requirements at interview sa Special Science Class program.

Usual lang ang mga naging araw ko rito, namasyal at pumunta kung saan-saan kasama si tita Sheena sa pagkat siya lang madalas na andito sa bahay. Siyempre pag doktor busy talaga kaya hindi ko masyado nakasama si tito Neprahim.

Kakagising ko at tumayo na ako. Kinuha ko ang tuwalya ko at naligo na rin.

After I gargled, I went down to eat my breakfast.

"Good morning! Theo!" Si tita Sheena.

"Good Morning po!" Buti na lang at bumati sila bago ko isubo tong asa kutsara ko.

"Where do you want to go ngayon? Aalis ka na next week oh, you know you must sulit your last days here in Laguna?" Si tita Sheena habang tinitignan ako sa mata.

"Ahhhh, kahit saan po? Kayo po ba? Saan niyo po gusto?"

"Ikaw talaga! Uhmmm, I want to go sa BGC, you know or hmmmm-" siya habang nag-iisip pa. "Ahhhhh sa Tagaytay na lang! You want ba roon?"

"Opo! Kahit saan po okay lang po."

I don't have any idea what we'll do in Tagaytay but based on what I've read on my textbooks, Taal volcano is located there.

"Then, that's it! I'll just take a bath. Kain ka lang huh!" Si tita Sheena bago pumasok sa kanyang kuwarto.

After I ate my breakfast I went up to my room and took a bath. I'm now wearing my black chino shorts and black polo with the accompaniment of my white wristwatch and white shoes. I fixed my hair while using this gel wax and I leave some strands of my hair in the center making it bangs. But I know, eventually, it'll just blow away later but I don't care.

I checked my social media account.

May isang notification sa aking messenger and it was from Lea.

/Hey? Kailan balik mo here? Did you past your requirements na ba? Sabay na tayo magpasa?

She knows that I'm here in Laguna well it didn't surprise me at all because I'm used to it and she's my friend that's why she knows that I'm here.

/Uhmmm....next week na ako babalik diyan...sure.

I placed my phone in my pocket and when I'm satisfied with my appearance I went down to wait for tita Sheena to signify to me if we'll go na.

I'm now in the living room sitting and I looked around. It's silent down here, the tv is not operating so my eyes sighted the hanging shelves around the led tv. There's a sculpture. A wood carving from the statue in UP. Kung hindi ako nagkakamali, it is called the "oblation".

Tumayo ako at tinignan ito. There are two of them. One located at the right of the TV and one on the left.

Inuna kong tignan ang asa kaliwa at sumunod sa kanan. Sa baba ng mga sculpture na ito may pangalan si tito Neprahim at sa kabila ay si tita Sheena.

"Neprahim S. Concepcion- Doctor of Medicine...Sheena T. Lastimosa- Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Accountancy." Pagkabasa ko nang biglang may nagsalita sa gilid ko.

"It's the good old days that I always remember every time I see these sculptures. UP will always be in my heart. I'm proud to be an "Iska". Ikaw ba Theo? You want to study there ba? I'm sure you can pass the UPCAT naman." Si tita Sheena habang nakatingin sa akin.
