The Feeling I Cant Deny

First Day

My mum dropped me outside the gate, i murmured a quick thanks, she wished me luck and drove off to do some early morning shopping.

Westwood High! It looked like any other typical high school. I was sure nervous but who isnt in their first day. I quickly found the reception "Hiya, umm i am new here my name is Ellie Spears" I said politely, the lady smiled and handed me a schedule and a map of the school. I said a quick thankyou and took off. I went on a mission to find my locker as i had 10 minutes spare before my first lesson AP Maths. Locker number 313 that's the one i smiled to myself! I stood there fiddling with my locker not being able to open it up. I sighed! Suddenly a cherry voice interrupted my thoughts "Hey you need a help with that?" said a girl about my height with straight brown hair and bangs who was in fact really pretty. I nodded. She opened it in one go! "Uhh thanks, I am Ellie Spears by the way. Just moved here with my mum" I smiled at her putting my bag inside the locker. "Hi Ellie, I am Samantha please call me Sam for short." She took out her hand and I shook it! "So you look good in shape hmmm cheerleader?" she asked curiously, "Yeah I was the captain back in Florida" She looked at me with wide eyes "Noway, that means you can fit right in with me, I'll show you around, whats your first period" she asked "I haaavvveeee Maths" I groaned. She laughed."Hmmm lets see" she took my schedule and said " We've got lunch, English and Spanish together". I smiled at her, I had a good feeling she was sticking around with me. "Umm soo I'll introduce you to some of the other cheerleaders and boys later on at lunch kayss?". I nodded "Sure thanks Sam, I really appreciate it as I'm new and stuff."

"So tell me all there is to know about Westwood High". Sam looked around the started "Well there are all kinds of different people here, okay umm i am gonna get straight to the point right there are 3 groups the North Siders meaning us lets see I can tell just by looking at you that you're white and rich more or less perfect". I nodded she was being honest i gave that impression i dont know how maybe it was the way i walked or the type of bags i carried or the looks. "Then thers the East and West Siders they are just normal you know neutral aren't rich aren't poor, average grades, average looks, average salaries, they are very nice though but we dont really interact with them. One of them were going to come up to you I overheard but i saw your Gucci bag and thought naaahh you're waay outta their league!" I nodded again waiting for her to finish "And then theres the South Siders" I could hear the fear in her voice and her eyes went dark and started to whisper "Okay Ellie I know you're new and everything but make sure if you see anyone with a tattoo or who looks mexican or speaks spanish stay away from them okay? We dont belong with people from that side of the town they're dangerous, I dont want you to even look at them! They need to join a gang for them to survive a day as they can hardly afford anything they live in the ghetto! They are involved with all sorts of things street fighting,violonce,shoplifting,drug dealing, shootouts and god knows what! Everyone keeps their distance from them" I slowly nodded suddenly my heart racing, okay i definatly dint know this school was dangerous oh god! I have a bad feeling about this. Sam finished off "Just dont look at them or stare just ignore them, you ignore them they ignore us, its been the rule since like forver" She relaxed then grabbed my phone from my jeans pocket like she's done it before and typed her number in and smiled. I smiled back "Thanks Sam for the info" She looked at me and beamed "Ha! Its okay I got gym so see ya in English" I nodded. She gave me a quick hug and I went to find my Maths class.

I got a bit lost on the way so I was running 5 minutes late. I knocked in the door and slowly opened it, the teacher looked up he looks about 40 with glasses and slight grey hair, he looked like like a nice teacher. "Umm I am Ellie Spears, I'm new here so i got a bit lost" I said without a stutter. "Right Ellie, Hi i am Mr Wilson I'll be your maths teacher this year. Wanna introduce yourself to the class" I nodded shyly "Hi I am Ellie, just moved here from Florida and I like to cook?" I raised an eyebrow at Mr Wilson. "Grab a seat he said" There were no seats available at the front there were 3 right at the back I choose the one that looked the friendliest next to a girl with jet black hair and killer blue eyes. I smiled at her, she returned the smile "So you the new North sider, i saw you talk to Miss Samantha Pride" she mocked. "Yeah Sam and I live in the north side" I returned. "Hmm shame, Jade here, East sider here neutral" she beamed "And by the way I feel sorry for you" I stared at her blankly " The seat, Samantha will not be happy for you choosing that one" I looked at her blankly "Um why is that" I asked. 

Then suddenly the door swung open and everyone in the class stopped their conversation, people who were texting looked up everyone had their stare on the boy who just entered the class 10 minutes late. And boy wasnt he gorgeous, He was tall, had tanned skin a black short hair, brown piercing eyes, jeans hanging low but not low as in'just pull it up i can see your ass low' like a perfect low with his black t-shirt perfectly fitted around his body showing off his muscles. His arms were just perfect, you could see on the upper bit of his arms he had tatoo's and alot of them, then I realised he was one of those people Sam warned me about,being in the South side and all but i couldnt take my eyes off him, i swear it should be illegal to look that good on a monday morning it just wasnt fair. I snapped my eyes off him and suddenly i found my fingers quite interesting looking down on them I realised what Jade had just said the seat! I panicked Oh shit! Dont tell me I was on his seat and I stole a glance at Jade and she mouthed 'Dont Worry' like she could read my mind! I was relieved though, then I felt someone stare at me, I looked up and immediatlyand regretted it the hot boy was looking at me, we locked eyes. I know it sounds weired but when he looked at me with those I swear he was looking through my soul, I quickly glanced sideways and a blush crept through my cheecks. WTF?!? I am Ellie Spears I NEVER EVER BLUSH! Not even my first crush made me blush and this random guy who I dont even know, glances at me and i blush like a tomato! Wow i really do miss Florida.

"Ahh Mr Romero, glad that you finally decided to join us you are late!" Mr Wilson said calmly. "Yeah I know" was his reply, his voice oh my his voice was dep and sexy, STOP IT! I mentally slapped myself for even thinking that. "Well then dont make a habit of it Alex" Mr Wilson fired back, the guy Alex nodded and walked towards me and I suddenly tensed then he grabbed the seat next to be and I exhaled my breath I dint even know I was holding. 

Mr Wilson started to talk abou what we were going to do this year and how important this year is blah blah blah! I really hated maths but the weired thing about maths was that I got it, I never used to need to revise it I always found maths logical so no wonder I got put in AP Maths. I finally stole a glance around the classroomn, like I expected most were nerdy and had glasses and looked socially awkward, ofcourse some like Jade were there and then theres Alex! Wait up this is an AP maths he' s South sider from what I've heard I thought he was supposed to dumb and not care about school, well he seemed not to care but he was in AP maths, hmm maybe he threatned the teacher to give him a space here. I realised how stupid I sounded, unfortunatly the whole maths lesson I was hyperaware of my surroundings and what I did not only cause I was bored and not listening Alex's presence made me not do something stupid but he probably wasnt even aware of me! Finally saved by the bell, I literally just took off to my locker and decided to wait for Sam and ask her a little question about Alex!
