Chapter 7.

Hours passed by, at least what seemed like hours, both staying in each others embrace. I wasn't thinking about letting go soon, and I hope he was thinking the same.

I felt his hand move up and down my arm, in a comforting matter, before making its way up to my chin. He slowly moved my face to look at him. He gave me a small smile as he ran his thumb over my bottom lip. His face moved closer to mine, I closed my eyes savoring the feeling of having him close. I felt him nudge my nose with his before his lips slightly brushed mine.

Moments like these made me feel like he felt the same and that something might bring us together as a couple but on the other hand I knew he only care for me because he's known me my entire life.

'He only wants you for the sex Jordyn.' My conscience would be taunting me.

I shook off the awful thoughts and just focused on the situation at hand.

'Why did Olivia call him?'

'What was so important that he was ready to get up and leave at that instant?'

My fingertips moved up and down his cover chest, if I pondered on this too much i'd go crazy.

"What are you thinking about beautiful?" Jacks voice rung through my ears.

This was my chance, I looked up at him. Eyes locking for a mine before my gaze went back to my lap.

"Why did Olivia call you?" I mumbled.

As the words came out of my mouth, I felt Jacks body tense up a little.

He moved his hand up to the back of his neck, nervously scratching it. He wore an ashamed look on his face making me worry at what might be the answer.

"She just uh she wanted- she needed help with something." He stuttered out trying to find the correct words to use. But I saw right through that.

"What did she need?" I ask, I was getting the truth out of Jack no matter what it took.

"Uh, um it's not that important Jordyn."

I rolled my eyes, untangling my body from his and scooting away from him to the other side. I crossed my arms and stared him straight in the eyes.

"Why are you lying to me Jack?"

He quickly moved closer to me.

"I'm not lying jordyn."

I shuck my head is disbelief.

"I know how Olivia is, she wouldn't ask for your help unless she wanted s-" I quickly stop my sentence. Realization hitting me straight in the face. My hands flew to cover my mouth. "Oh my god, you were going over to have se- really? After we just? I-I can't believe this Jack!" I stated standing up from pure fury.

"Was I not enough for you?" I breathed in. "What do you want? Someone more experienced in this? I-I just can't believe you'd do th-."

"No no Jordyn you don't understand." He said grabbing onto my hand.

"Don't touch me." I harshly pulled my hand out of his grasp.

"C-couldn't you have at least the decency of waiting until tomorrow. Really? Twice in one day Jack." I shuck my head once again.

"But I didn't happen!" He stated, waving his hands around.

"But it sure as hell was going to! You were ready to get up and leave once she called!"

In less than a second Jacks face expression changed from one of sorrow to an annoyed, mad one.

"Why are you so mad about this? We're not a couple this is strictly a no strings attached thing Jordyn I told you from the start."

Ouch. I nodded my head looking down. He was right, I couldn't go along with this if the feeling isn't mutual.

"You're right Jack."

He let out a breath, and a smile took over.

"Thank you." He let out, moving closer to me and hugging me.

"That's why, I'm breaking this little arrangement up." His arms loosened from around me. "I can't do this anymore."

He fully let go and stared at me in pure shock.

"W-what no, Jordyn don't do this!" He pleaded, cupping my face in his hands.

"I can't do this anymore, please stop Jack." I looked down not being able to look him in the eyes.

"No please Jordyn don't do this!"

My mind was made up, why be friends with benefits with the guy I'm in love with, when I can go out there and find someone who likes me for me and not my body?

"Go home Jack."

"Jordyn."

"Out Jack!" I yelled just as I heard the door being shut close.

"Yo what is going on in here?" My brother said as he walked into the living room.

"Nothing Jack was just leaving."

I looked at him, watching as he was going to protest but I shook my head signaling to him that it was no use.

He nodded finally giving up.

"I'll see you later man." He said patting my brothers back and excusing him self.

"What was that all about?" My brother asked.

"Nothing to worry about JackJack." I said, sending him a weak smile and heading up stairs.

I was rudely awoken from my peaceful nap with my phone ringing like crazy. I groaned rubbing my eyes and reaching for it.

"Hello?"I said.

"Yo Jordyn can you come over?"

"What the hell Calum I was sleeping!" I sighed.

"At 4 in the afternoon?" I heard him chuckle on the other side.

"Shut up, what do you want?"

"Come over I have a surprise."

I rolled over, and sat on the edge of the bed. My outfit was pretty decent so I didn't care for changing.

"Alright, alright I'll be there in 10." I said, ending the call and walking down stairs.

I grabbed my car keys and headed for the door.

"Hey, where you going?" My brother yelled.

"Calums house, be back later."

There was no traffic from my house to Calums so I made it in 5 minutes. I parked my car in the driveway and quickly ran to his door. I knocked two times before the door swung open.

"Okay so what was so important that I had to cut my nap short?" I said, hands resting on my hips.

"Well I'd say, me coming home was kind of important no?" A voice from behind Calum spoke.

My eyebrows furrowed in confusion before Calum got out of the way.

Right there standing in front of me was Mack. My first ever boyfriend and also one of my closest friends.

"Mack!" I yelled, running past Calum and jumping into his arms. " oh my god I missed you!"

"I missed you to short one." He laughed into my neck. "We have some catching up to do."

Yeah I'd say we do.
