⇢ [Chapter 12: Dog Lovers] ˎˊ˗ ꒰

I left the school grounds after bidding goodbye to Zac. The both of us kept silent after Zac admitted the reason why Zac and Ian's relationship is, today. There was no chat between us, only pure silence, and of course, Zac sniffing.

I held into my bag strap while walking along the sidewalk. The weather was quite breezy and I find it comforting. I inhaled deeply then exhaled while looking at different buildings and plants around me.

I still haven't spoken to Ian. He seems very busy since his school work has been doubled as it is their punishment for fighting in the school hallways. Both he and Zac really have bruised up faces with the dark red colored blood dripping from both their mouth and nose. But they do seem to be healing, albeit, the fight caused them both to hate each other more.

Zac had already told me about their history, and even showed his feelings about it, judging from the welled up eyes his, therefore, I guess it is safe to say they might be able to make up together in the future.

I widened my eyes both in surprise and curiosity when I saw a certain cafe that I found interesting.

A dog cafe.

My eyes peered through the large window of the cafe. Letting out a small gasp of admiration when I saw a bunch of dogs roaming around and playing with other people. I pulled on a small smile and immediately went inside, excited.

I stepped inside the cafe and immediately be greeted by a few small dogs. There we're dogs wagging their tails while there are ones that are standing up and clawing my clothed thighs with their paws.

I chuckled and walked towards the person in front who is standing behind a table, probably waiting for me to talk to them. I made sure I didn't step on any dogs or any puppy's tail or paws while walking closer.

"Hello! What would you like?" The woman said. She seems to be foreign, judging by her very curly hair and dark skin. She looks like some sort of magazine model with her blue eyes complimenting her beauty. I look at the menu, displayed above me. It shows the fee of different periods of time I get to have with some dogs, and food and drinks for humans, and food for dogs.

I picked the one-hour time since I really need to ease off some stress with all this Ian drama. I also ordered some Iced tea, and a slice of cake. I took out my wallet from my bag and gave her the exact amount of money.

The female also asked me to write my name and phone number down on a piece of paper, as it is some kind of receipt to show that I have booked time for me to spend time with dogs here.

"Alright! You may take a seat at table three, the dogs will be heading over to you soon, especially with your food and drink." She pointed at the table while smiling. I thanked her and moved towards the table with a number three stand displayed on top of it.

I crossed my arms, pulling them closer to my chest. I felt a gaze stuck on my back, making me uncomfortable. I sighed, looking around to see if someone was staring at me.

My eyes widened when I saw a familiar figure. Similar hoodie and similar hair with Ian's. I hastily turned my head to the front again, not wanting to be noticed by him. "Oh shoot," I murmured, combing the front side of my hair as I leaned down to the table.

The feeling of dogs licking my legs and some clawing on my thighs with their paws interrupted me. I smiled and looked at the woman from earlier who stood near me, she smiled at me while nodding at me to the dogs.

I smiled back and mumbled a "thank you" that somehow was still heard by the female. I stood up from my chair and crouched down to the dogs. I pet each of them, eeling their fluffy fur on my fingers.

I let out a giggle when a bunch of dogs began climbing and clawing on me. I kept dodging numerous times, since I'm afraid they might start clawing on my face and leave a scar, but I still had fun.

A few of the dogs began walking away and going to another person. But then many dogs and puppies are now coming near me. I then felt a presence beside me. I looked up from my position and slightly widened my eyes in shock.

Ian sat down beside me on the floor, with a few of his dogs going near me too. "I didn't know you'd be here," He said, placing his right hand on my thigh, with his other hand petting the dog's heads. " I didn't know you're here either," I looked away from him, and turned my attention to some puppies who are somehow playing or fighting to get near me.

I giggled and grab the puppies one by one and placed them gently on my lap. The pups were squeaking? barking? I don't know. I pet their heads gently to calm them down, which worked.

A sound of a phone camera clicking made me turn my head over to Ian. "Oops, I forgot to turn off the sound, but at least I turned off the flash," He looked at his phone, opening his gallery to admire plenty of photos of his beloved with dogs. He mumbled the words he said at the end of his sentence.

I shrugged it off and continued petting the puppies and dogs, receiving licks on my arms and hands. It seems like he is trying to start a conversation between us, ever since the silent treatment, he has given me days ago. I decided to wait patiently for him to start a conversation.

"Hey, [Y/N].." He trailed off. I hummed and diverted my attention towards him. "Just please, stop talking to Zac."

"Huh? why? Zac already told me the reason why he hates you and shit, but I can't say it though, but still–" I tried to form a sentence but failed to do so. "I already know about the reason!" He cut me off.

 "You knew?!"

" I heard." He paused right after saying that.

"but please, don't talk–" He continued.

" But why though? Is there something else going on?" I said, trying to make the tone of my voice calm since if we chose to talk aggressively, we might start a fight in this cafe.

"Do you care about him more than me?" He glared at me. "what? no!– I care for both–"

"Then end of the conversation." He cut me off, declining me to say that I actually care for both of them equally. I groaned and shook my head, then clicked my tongue. I turned my attention to the puppies and dogs, ignoring when Ian kept taking photos of me suddenly.
