YOUR EYES// Dream x reader

Birds chirping slowly stumbled in your head making your eye flutter open. The fire burned out and the sun was high on the sky. You sat up stretching out your legs and arms. You looked around the home. There was a plate on the table and Dream left a note on a desk next to the couch. You reached for the note and folded it open.

I went to get some spare arrows. Brb

Then it seems you have the house for yourself for a little while. You took the plate. Scrambled eggs with strawberries on the side. He prepared breakfast for you. You sat down to the table starting to eat while mapping out the house. There were bookshelves along the walls filled with books of weapons and types of fight techniques. A couple swords hanging from the wall and rolled up maps. Chests were scattered around the house and tore pieces of paper on the floor.

You finished your breakfast and started packing what you'll need today. You wanted to explore a little since this was your dream for so long to come here.
You put the bag over your shoulder and turned around. Just to be met by those emerald green eyes of Dream. He had a package in hand and freshly made arrows tied together.
"Where are you heading?" He asked.
"Explore" You said trying to go around him but he stepped in front of you. 
"Alone?" He asked raising his eyebrows.
You nodded then gone around him the other way but he grabbed your shoulder pulling you back. "Want me to give a tour?" He asked with a small smile playing on the edge of his mouth.
You rolled the thought in your head. He knew the place better and you would get into some places you shouldn't go to.
"Sure!"

You waited outside for Dream. The sun was high and the sky was cloudless. It was warmer than any day so it was nice for a tour. You didn't plan taking your horse so you just stood there playing with a loose thread on your clothes. Dream opened the door and stepped out. You smiled and started to walk along with Dream thru the town.

The tour ended. The sun was low and the sky was painted with orange colours. Dream opened the door for you. As you walked in you dropped the bag and took off your shoes. The tour was fun. You talked with Dream about everything and nothing. It was sort of calming after yesterday. But Dream was actually a really nice person (even if he tried to kill you). You walked to the fireplace and lit the fire. You sat down on the couch. The fire slowly started to get bigger and the warmth of it filled the room. Dream sat on the other side of the couch with a thick book and opened it around the middle.

You sat there for a couple minutes, listening to the fire before you spoke.
"Why do you wear the mask in public?" You asked looking at him. He looked up from the book making eye contact with you.
"I like to be mysterious" He said closing the book. He put it on the floor and turned to you with his full body. "And you and the Pillagers axe? How did you manage to get it?" He asked.
"Friend of mine gave it to me." You said pulling it up and turning it to him. He took it and spun it a couple times before speaking again.
"I saw the ingravement on your sword." He said. "You are a part of the Guard?" He tilted his head and looked at you interested. You took the axe and dropped it on the floor.
"Yea. Guard of Laencaster." You said crossing your legs and playing with a loose thread. He nodded and pulled his book back up.
"That's fun" He said. You layed back and the fires crackling became monotone and you fell asleep.

This time not birds who woke you up, it was a door opening and shutting close loudly. You quickly sat up turning to the door. You slipped out from under the covers and run to go outside. But when you opened it Dream was standing there tapping his sword nervously.
"Y/N don't you dare follow me. You could easily die."
"Wait, what?"
"I'm just worried about you" He said turning a heel. You opened your mouth to speak but before you could slip out a word Dream was sprinting away from the house. You ran back inside to dress up and get your weapons. You hurried out, got your horse and followed Dream in a slower pace so he didn't hear you.
He started sprinting faster and slowly you couldn't see him. You knew where he went tho, he explained on your tour that the nations name was L'manburg and Phil's son was who started the war. You didn't know if it was true but believed him anyways.

You ended up at the turn where L'manburg was, got off your horse and crawled up on a little hill looking over the warzone. People were fighting and yet the danger was scaring you, you pulled out your bow and some arrows and shooting a warning shot. You didn't know who is against who, or who is the bad guy but it felt right.

The arrow landed in front of Dream. He looked up and the smile mask darted to you. He killed someone he was fighting with and started running towards you. Before he could even get to the staircase an arrow digged in his shoulder. Your legs moved without you noticing and you were running to help him. You jumped from the staircase and sprinted towards Dream. They loosened another arrow but with a swift move of your axe you cut it in half while in the air. Your attention turned to Dream laying on the ground getting a hold of a stone to sit up. You crouched down next to him.
"Dream are you okay?" You said in a worried tone.
"I'm fine. I wouldn't have been shot if you didn't come here!" He yelled. You flinched back slightly, he was scary when he was mad. Your face went blank and without an answer you picked him up bridal style and threw and Ender Pearl at the staircase.

You teleported up and put Dream down next to the hill.
"And you said I would die.." You mumbled while taking a roll of gauze
"You could've!" He shot back and rolled his eyes. You took a potion with pink swirling liquid in it.
"Drink this." You said handing the potion to Dream. He chugged the drink and threw the bottle braking it to pieces. You took a bit of guaze and pushed it onto where the arrow landed.
"This is going to hurt." With a quick move you pulled the arrow from his shoulder.
"Fuck, Y/N, you little-" He hissed in pain and applied pressure to the guaze. You lifted his shoulder and covered it with bandage as neat as you could.
"I told you it's going to hurt. Dream you're such a pissbaby"
"No I'm not" He said wheezing like a tea kettle.
